The Charles Hotel is, in my opinion, is situated in the best and most interesting and historic part of Prague. It is a small quiet hotel with great facilities and customer relations that is sometimes difficult to find. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were all caring and helpful in every way. The hotel is very well...

We stayed here for two nights. The location is about as central as you can get, with easy and direct access to Old Prague and ideally located for all the walking you are going to do. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Room was large and the ensuite suitable. Our room overlooked the street leading on to the Charles Bridge...

The Charles Hotel on the Prager Kleinseite is a very good location to visit the center of Prag without any tram or bus. Located about 3 minutes walk to the Charles Brigde and about 15 minutes to the castle. In the breakfast room you hve the feeling that you are sitting in a Jazz Bar.Very nice and friendly staff.

We were on a Jet2 City Break and stayed here at the Charles. Very Rustic, full of Antiques. Our bedroom fairly large, mind you there was no view but there was drinks fridge telephone and hairdryer. The bed was huge and very comfortable, my only disappointment was the shower, as it was just above bath height you could not stand...

Lovely to go back to The Charles! The staff are really nice and friendly, especially the young lady who checked us in and out! She remembered us from 5 months ago! The room was comfy and quiet. The downstairs bar/restaurant serves a great range of beers, and one can smoke! Would very much recommend to anyone!

We were very satisfied with our stay in Prague. Lovely old city, good hotel, friendly staff and wonderful location. However we would never go back there because of one huge problem: next-door is a night bar that causes an awful lot of noise and keeps you (if you're a light sleeper) awake until dawn... The nuisance is caused not by...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
