Located in the Old Town Square, Hotel Cerna Liska was a perfect place to stay. There was always something going on in the square area which if your looking for a place that's real quite, away from tourist activity and boring then don't stay here. My room looked right down on the square area and could watch evening entertainment on...

My husband insisted that we stay at this hotel because he saw it was located in the Historic Old Square of Prague. Once again was he ever right. The perfect location was only the beginning of a perfect visit. Althought the weather was below freezing the welcome we recived here thawed us quickly. The staff spoke English and were able...

Do not take the taxis from the main railway station as we again were again ripped off even though I saw that the meter was turned on, what I could not see was the rate per kilometre, he must have a tourist rate. If you need a taxi catch the yellow taxis at least they tell you what the rate...

Stayed at hotel from November 21 thru November 25. Room (on 3rd floor) was large, clean, with a view on the square, but double windows kept noise to a minimum (of course, I wasn't there during high season). Staff was unformly friendly and very helpful. Location was perfect for exploring the city. Got a good deal on room rate online....

Booked this hotel at least 6 months ago for a higher rate, and checked again, and the rates were now lower. One quick email and the rate was reduced. The location can't be beat, best in Prague I think. The room was big, the bed not the most comfortable, but very adequate. Linda was very helpful, giving me directions and...

Quite a basic, small hotel, but what a location; you couldn't possibly have a better position than the Old Town Square, just metres from the Astronomical Clock. I found it quite difficult to pick a hotel in Prague from maps as so much was in Czech language, but I used the reviews on here and booked the Cerna liska. I...

The Cerna Liska is right in the heart of the Old Town. You can't beat the location. The room was large but nothing fancy. it was very clean and had everything I needed including a minibar and room safe. I didn't get a view of the square but i was only there one night so it was no big deal....

We found this pleasant restaurant close to our hotel and it was a pleasant surprise indeed. The restaurant offers vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, both excellent, tasty, well presented and in fairly large portions. We liked it so much that we ate there quite a few days ... the service is efficient with a smile, they offer also set-menu at very...

The hotel is located right on Old Town Square in the middle of town. One block from Metro and surrounded by lots of shops (too many). If you decide on this hotel bring shampoo, they don't provide any. Large bedroom but they can do to purhased new window shades. You do have a wonderful view of Tyn Church from most...

You might find posher hotels, but you won't find a better one if you want to see Prague! This hotel is right on the old square, which is the right part of Prague to be staying in - it's the hub of the cuty, but not too noisy at night. Rooms are huge generally, with seating areas within the rooms...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
