So many positives about this hotel. it caters for solo travellers. I had a genuine single room which is a real rarity and an unexpected treat. The room, No 10, is charming and a million miles away from corporate bland. The food is excellent from a very adequate buffet breakfast through to cooked to order dinner. Staff speak good English...

Perfect hotel in a perfect location! The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with period furniture and accessible via lift or lovely stairway. The bathrooms are clean and modern. The breakfast buffet was adequate and the staff purchased gluten free bread for us each day. The hotel's restaurant is cosy and the chef was very accommodating in providing a gluten...

Stayed here for 1 night over the St. Patrick's weekend which would probably explain why people were playing instruments in the street and singing at 3am and didn't stop til 5am. I have visited Prague well over 15 times and don't usually stay in old town square as i prefer an apartment away from tourist areas as i tend to...

Small, old, beautiful hotel in the old town just beside the Church of Our Lady before Týn. The church wakes you up in the morning if you are a light sleeper. We stayed in a room for three persons and it was very beautiful and comfortable. At night in the weekend there was some noise from the streets when people...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for about a week in January 2017 and we loved it. It is just a few meters from Old Town Square, so the location is hard to beat. The interior is cozy and charming. There is a restaurant and cafe in the building that we didn't try. The restaurant's looked expensive but tasty. Service...

It was chilly and windy and after a few kilometers of sightseeing it was so comforting to return to Cerny Slon! We had a three bed bedroom, it was clean and spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly, the restaurant offer warm hearty and delicious food and less 10% for guests. The Cerny Slon is right at the old town square,...

So charming! The building is historical and very interesting, but the hotel is still very comfortable. The positives: perfect location right off the main square, historical, charming and interesting building, good beds, comfortable room (nr.17, triple room was large), a nice breakfast and very pleasant staff. (Warning - Don't stay here if you have trouble with uneven staircases and steps....

This hotel has the perfect location, right next to the Tyn cathedral and astronomical clock. We had a 3 person room at the top floor which was big if a bit dark, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Do bring your earpluggs because at night you can hear groups of people pass between the church and the pubs in...

Thank you Trip Advisor for helping us find this place. It is almost on the Old Town Square. Walking distance to the Castle, shopping, lots of restaurants. It was very cold on our visit, but this hotel was nice and cozy. Breakfast and staff are wonderful. Be very careful of where you change your money. We went to a very...

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during an anniversary trip to Prague. We were so lucky to get room 16, the nicest room with a small balcony on the top floor. The room was GORGEOUS with the extremely high ceilings, bare beams, and vintage furniture. It was -18C one night and the room had such good heating we were...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
