After back to back Hiltons, we were up for some down home service. It started with a glass of bubbly as a welcome. Our room was clean and larger than at either Hilton. Wifi and breakfast were included. The breakfasts were excellent and with plenty of variety. The desk staff were very helpful with finding things and arranging taxis. No...

We spent 6 nights at the Unitas in May 2013, which we booked on the basis of TA reviews, and it lived up to its great reputation. Outstanding, friendly staff who welcome you with a glass of the Czech version of champagne, a really nice touch, and do everything to be of service. Our room was large, almost luxurious, with...

Unitas Hotel features large high-ceiling rooms that were remodelled within the last few years. The bathroom is spacious with very nice fixtures. The included breakfast was abundant and varied. Fruits, cereals, meats and eggs prepared to your order were all excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The central town square is about a 10-15 minute walk from...

The Unitas delivers quality accommodations for a reasonable price. Hotel staff is super and always willing to try to help. This place is simply VERY good! Can't go wrong! Hotel is converted from an older, solid-wall building. DVDs available to those who have kids or want something different from cable TV. Breakfast is super. Location is very near the river...

Chose this hotel based on the reviews, price and proximity to Old Town. This was a real winner. Wonderful rooms, very friendly and accommodating staff and a great location. We stayed in a junior suite and the room was very comfortable. The hotel is just a few minute walk from the Charles Bridge as well as Old Town Square. This...

We had the misfortune to hit Prague during the monsoon season that was the first week in June 2013. Three and a half days of continuous rain are not the best way to see one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. However, the Unitas lived up to everything other reviewers have said about it. It was a real pleasure...

This hotel is a converted nunnery . The rooms were very spacious and clean. They go out of there way with extra touches like free appetizers or apples in the afternoon, excellent breakfast, etc. the best part about the hotel is the staff. They were terrific and went out of there way to make our stay the best

Although Prague is quite beautiful, it is apparent that the previous USSR had really drained them dry back in the day. They are rebuilding and as the only capital in Europe that was NOT bombed during WWII it looks much like it did hundreds of years ago. The Unitas Hotel used to be a Convent and prior to that it...

I got the hotel based on the price, which earns it a five star value. Fantastic location that is right close to everything, but on a quiet side street. Best breakfast I've had at a hotel in Europe. Rooms are enormous, internet is great, can't really say anything negative. The gentlemen at the front desk were so helpful! Use the...

This hotel is in an excellent location and the staff is fantastic. The rooms are very comfortable (something I appreciated because I had a terrible cold when I was in Prague in March and spent one entire day napping in a cozy bed). The history of the actual building illustrates the political and social challenges faced by Czechs during the...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
