This is a terrific hotel located in Hradcany [a section of Prague], in the hills just northwest of the downtown sights. It is a 5 minute walk to St. Vitus and Prague Castle and a 15 minute walk to the Charles Bridge and all the sites. If taking the stairs to downtown is not your speed the tram [22 line]...

This little boutique hotel in the Prague Castle district was an absolutely excellent find by my wife searching the internet for something special. Very quiet, hidden away at the western edge of the castle district. So much so that the taxi driver got lost in the narrow, one-way streets. (We had to has our bags for the last 200 m...

We have been in this hotel several times. It is on well-hidden place position in a quiet part of extramural very close to "Prazsky hrad" This area is very romantic and historical. Hotel is small, just 10 or 12 rooms, very quiet and cozy. Parking is possible in "garden" which in only 50 m far from hotel. Rooms are spacious...

We stayed here a week In a beautiful yet simple room. The location is great. Away from the crowded downtown but a good walk there on the hilly streets. Great breakfast and a great outdoor patio for eating drinking or relaxing. All beautifully designed. A great staff too.

We cannot say enough good things to do justice to this gem of a hotel. Situated in a quiet location, this place was a real find. We loved exploring the city all day and being able to head back to U Raka away from the hustle and bustle. The staff went out of their way to answer all questions and...

We were alerted to Hotel U Raka by a friend who stays there frequently. It was a lucky recommendation. This small hotel is a quiet and luxurious family run property in the heart of the castle district. It is a short walk from all the major sites in Hradkany and a 15 minute walk (downhill) to Charles Bridge and the...

Hotel U Raka is a lovely boutique hotel close to the Castle, the Cathedral, and the various palaces. This hundred years old farm house transports you in the past. Tucked away below the ramparts, it is a little oasis of peace in a very bustling city. The moment you step in there is a sense of peace and quiet. The...

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
