But the staff was nice and our luggage was brought to our room and the room was spacious (by European standards, not American!) and the bathroom was lovely and clean as well, so I got over my...

Simply put hotel met our needs but fell somewhat short of expectations. Here's the summary! PROS - 1. Excellent pre visit communication via email with hotel staff to arrange transportation from Vilshofen Germany to Prague. Driver met us promptly at cruise ship (AMA Cruise lines) at 8:00am. There were 5 of us and he managed to fit all luggage in...

Not a lobby as usual. Two lovely places to sit and enjoy art and artbooks. Picking your own drinks. And every day a 'happy hour' with small food/drinks. Very attending and friendly personal Good room. Don't forget to make a reservation at the neighbours: Chez Marcel. A very good restaurant.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
