We were in Prague on a luxury city break and this hotel suited our purposes very well. It was central: the room was well appointed with one of the most comfortable matresses we have ever experienced; it was quiet and the restaurant was good though expensive even with resident's discount. Never mind as there are plenty of other places. Service...

We spend 4 nights here last week. Upon arrival the reception staff were not particularly friendly, and checked us in. Initially stayed in room 506. Having been in the room an hour or so the people next door kept flushing the toilet and the resounding sound into our room was ridiculous. Never before stayed in a hotel where you could...

Most guests do not realise that we have an automatic system for checking minibar consumption – housekeeping check whilst you are being checkedout and update the system via internal network. In your case as it was a large amount it was checked by Housekeeping, House Keeping Manager and the Front Office manager. Whilst you clearly thought you could slip out...

I stayed for one night on a business trip and had a great stay. There is little fuss or excessive attention, staff are efficient and discreet. My room was spacious and comfortable and had a great bathroom. I slept like a log! Decor is classy and the rooms spotlessly clean. I had a room at the back so there was...

We found this hotel through and online holiday sales site and booked via them. We arrived after a short walk from the main train station where the Airport Express bus had dropped us off. Situated near the top of Wencelas Square we were within easy reach of all the main Prague attractions. Walking distance to the Old Town, 200m from...

Organised transfer from airport to hotel with the hotel beforehand. Met on time at the airport. On arrival checked in by the helpful staff at reception and offered a glass of prosecco. We paid extra for a room overlooking Wencelsas square and requested a room higher up(10 euros per night per room). We were on the 5th floor and heard...

Lovely mid range hotel. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Had rooms overlooking square which were great. Breakfast and drinks in the combo restaurant which were good. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Prague.

Close to station, which was welcome after a night train from Budapest, dropped off bags as too early to check in and went to explore Prague before the tourists were up. Great location for exploring Prague. Hotel was good, we had a balcony that looked over Wenceslas square, a bit noisy on Friday night though. Breakfast was ok, I missed...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

“The rooms are lovely but are a little dark when getting ready on a night and there is no full length mirror in the bedroom with a plug socket near it for hairdryer etc only in the bathroom which can be a bit inconvenient if more than one person needs to get ready at the same time”
