They tried to place us into a triple room (with a big bed and a small bed) even though we booked a double room (just one double bed) and we are a young couple. The tripple room was shaped like one big hallway with a small bathroom on the side and the minibar door came off its hinges when we opened it. We went back to reception and insisted that they give us the double room which we booked. The initially friendly receptionist gave us what we asked for, but now she suddenly became a lot less friendly. We came to the hotel in February when there are fewer guests and room availabilty is high. We don't understand why they didn't just give us the nicer room (which we actually booked) in the first place. The rest of the stay was fine. The beds were confortable and clean, the double room was nice overall and so was the bathroom. Breakfast was varied enough and the restaurant staff was nice.…
For what we paid I think it was value for money. £170 for 2 Adults 3 Nights B&B The Hotel is VERY clean! It is about a 10mins UBER ride away from the main square and has places to eat near by. Breakfast is VERY VERY busy! my advice would be to get there early or you risk not having anywhere to sit. They could use a bigger room for breakfast. The food is good and there was plenty of choice. The Room is very old fashioned and not in keeping with the reception area. The room was clean but the bed was hard and there was a big gap at the bottom of our door, This gap let light and noise into our room. The hotel is not very soundproofed and you will hear those above you in bed. The biggest downfall for me was being charged for a bottle of wine I didn't drink on check-out. I felt awful when they tried to charge me for it. I refused to pay as I didn't have a bottle of wine in the hotel I drank GnT and paid for my drinks at the bar. For £28pppn I would return. It was a great base to visit the Christmas Markets!!!…
Stayed for 4 days. Hotel is a few minutes' walk from a big shopping centre and a Metro station. The tram stop is about a minute walk away. There is a small Tesco and a DM nearby, and a big Tesco in the shopping centre. There are several restaurants in the vicinity, and the hotel itself has a restaurant (but we did not eat there because we have a favourite resto in Mala Strana). Check-in was quick, and so was check out (even at 5AM there was someone at reception). On entering the hotel, you will notice a very fragrant smell -- really nice. Our room was quite big, high ceiling. It had a kitchenette (fridge, hob, microwave, plates, glasses, cups and cutlery -- but not pots so best to get microwavable food if you're thinking of eating in the room). The toilet was separate from the shower and lavatory, which we did not like. There was only one English language channel (BBC). Breakfast was OK (it can become boring if you have it for four days but should be fine if you're booked for just a couple of days). Eggs, sausage, bacon are cooked right in the breakfast area, which means they are warm (nice). Not much fruit though. But still all right overall. If there is one negative comment I could leave, it's the building right in front of the hotel. It seems to be unoccupied and there were graffiti -- it makes one think that it is not a secure area. But it actually is safe. We did not see any dodgy people lurking around. It took me some time to decide whether to book in this hotel or another one at Mala Strana but I'm glad I chose this one. It's really very nice and I highly recommend it to travellers -- solo, couples or families.…
We booked for one night before traveling further in to the country. We got the room very cheap on booking.com. we arrived and where greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. Our Room was in the third floor which was very easy accessable with the hotel elevator. Our room was lovely, spotless clean and very comfortable beds. Spacious bathroom and great shower. We went for dinner in the hotel as guest can enjoy 15% in the hotels restaurant. Wow we paid under 400 ck for two mains and a dessert. Really nice traditional czech/Bohemian cooking. The goulash was amazing. Even so breakfast what a fabulous choice of meats and fruits aswell as cooked breakfast. We can only recommend the hotel and will definitely book here again when we come back
I went to Prague for four days to visit the Christmas market with my granddaughter.we stayed in this hotel from Friday to Monday the hotel was clean and the room was alright we were out most of the day .we had clean towels each day .the hotel was in a quieter part of town and I felt abit to far out of the town to walk into .the only thing which I felt let the hotel down is the breakfast room which was far to small ,we had breakfast on the first day and people we queuing right at my back to get the coffee and cold food other than that the hotel was ok .
