Staff was very friendly, especially Janka and owner. The prices are very accurate. The location of the hostel is just gorgeous. We had 4 people attic suite, it was really spacious. Only bathroom was terrible and it was full of fungus, but you can't have...More
This hostel is perfect for location, and is a relief to not have to stay in bunk beds. The staff were super friendly and have wonderful recommendations for food and sight seeing. I had the unfortunate experience of having inconsiderate roommates who were noisey and...More
This hostel could not be more perfectly located, we saw the entirety of Prague on foot and enjoyed much of the nightlife without needing taxis either. The double room we got was extremely small, but the ensuite bathroom was excellent, and the communal area was...More

Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch
shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
Is Charles Bridge Economic Hostel non-smoking? We had a terrible experience at a hostel in Athens... despite all the no-smoking signs posted throughout the hostel, people ignored them and it was quite uncomfortable.

I don't recall seeing non-smoking signs but I don't remember seeing ashtrays either. Nobody smoked while I was there and there is an easily-accessible outside patio where people could smoke instead of inside.
