Stayed here mid-week for two nights. Place was formally a hostel that upgraded itself to a 3 star apartment type hotel. Caters to the younger crowd as I saw from the guests I ran across. Did a rather good job on design and decorations but left a few points out when it came to doors. Very low end doors which...

Purpur is a great value, especially compared to what you get in most European cities. We paid $50 for a private room with a kitchenette and a nice balcony. Normally this is the price of 2 beds in a dorm without breakfast or even a towel! The decorations are bright! Our room was all pink, which was fun. Patio was...

The hotel was clean, the staff was nice, the breakfast was really good. The rooms were big and sent out a touch of luxury. I liked the fact that the room had a fully equipped kitchen. The location was good and in a nice, quiet area. The beds were among the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. There was...

Firstly can I say that some of the recent reviews are either fake or from some sadly deluded individuals! I don't trust reveiws that don't have some proof of their visit - ie pictures. Good points: Value - 56€ per night is cheap for Prague in summer Free wifi - worked well Room clean and tidy, towels etc changed daily...

Great value hotel. Nice rooms with good features. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my stay there. Rooms very well equipped with big flatscreen TV, desk, chairs, hairdryers, mini-kitchen bedside lights/sockets etc. Walking distance to most of the main sights (10-15 minutes to old square). Would definitely stay there again when I next go to Prague. WiFi was...

I am from the states and I want a certain standard when I stay at a hotel. This ticks off all the boxes. The interior is chic and trendy. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is to die for. My room had a balcony and a terrific view. The location is central and the area posh. The fact it...

We were really hard to find the hotel when we got off the Metro, it was located in a really small street. There was no telephones in the room so if I needed the reception I would have to go down to the desk myself. WiFi connection lost in the room, the pillow would rather being called a bean bag...

Enjoyed just one night here in this funky hotel. The location is pretty close to shopping, restaurants, the tram, and the center of the city. There's some great corner restaurants nearby. I liked the design and furnishings of the hotel. The bathroom was also a fun change from the boring usual. The morning breakfast was good, with a little bit...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
