We have just completed our stay at Hotel Rubicon in Prague. I must say, there are some definitely good things about this hotel, but there is also room for improvement. Good: -the location is fantastic, especially for the price. We were only a 5 minute walk from Wenceslas Square -everything that needed to be clean was -excellent breakfast spread To...

Due to late delayed flights arrived at the hotel 01.00 in the morning and was almost tempted to ask the driver to turn around and look for a better hotel, very shabby and run down appearance. However due to late hour and the fact I was with my wife and 13 year old we went ahead and booked in, the...

Great hotel, we had the best room available. Very spacious and neat. The service was good. We got new towels everyday and the reception was friendly. The location of the hotel was good, everything was on walking distance (10 to 15 minutes). We are satisfied with this hotel.

generalli good hotel with genial location in the old town of prague. Very quiet and mysterious street in historical city centre. Hotel just renovated breakfast room, we get less comfort for it but buffet is fine. Hot and cold meals and desserts as well. Room was ok too

First things first. The location of this hotel is perfect. All the tourist attractions, good restaurants, party places are 10 to 15 mins walking distance. The staff, specially Adnen, was very helpful and polite. Check in formalities took less than 5 mins. The only issue was the absence of air conditioning in the room. That problem, however we faced in...

We arrived to find that they didn't have a room for us and so said that they would have to put us in the next building. We had booked a tripple room. We were given a hostel room which was ok but the hostel itself was disgusting. The smell from the Chinese restaurant actually made me vomit. We couldn't get...

The hotel was OK, nothing special, very average. Good location, parking is further away, about 15 mins walking. The door handle was broken. Our window opened up to a court shared with the hostel next to the hotel so it was a bit loud in the morning. I think it is not so easy to get something better for an...

Rubicon is what it is supposed to be considering its location and prices. Could not be more central and the staff are welcoming, smiling and all around good people. The breakfast at the hotel is also decent. The elevator is a bit slow, but this only adds to its rugged charm.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
