Stayed here with a group of friends. The area is known to us but we were so impressed with the helpful staff, the apartments, the food in the cafe downstairs (fabulous breakfasts) and the location that we feel we wouldn't stay anywhere else now for our regular visits to Prague. This side of the river is much more appealing for... More

We stayed a week in this impeccably clean apartment hotel, and we would return anytime. Excellent location, many good restaurants nearby, attentive staff. Plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance, including the fabulous cafe just downstairs.

When we arrived a very bubbly young woman greeted us and showed us to our room, a very spacious apartment (no. 21): bedroom with king-size bed, small kitchen and glass dining table with two chairs, large bathroom with bathtub. We did not need all that space but it's nice to have it. The residence is located in a really nice... More

We have stayed at apartments and hotels, but this place is the best of both worlds: apartments right over a very good cafe that is the best coffee house in town. The residence staff is knowledgeable and friendly with good English; Lucy was particularly warm and helpful. The building is charming and well decorated. The apartment was very good: it... More

Over the past several years as we've traveled through Europe we've had wonderful apartment accommodations, and this is the best! Location isn't everything, but it's important and being situated here in the Lesser Quarter of the city with easy access by foot or trams to the many must-see sites is another plus. The staff did an exceptional job communicating with... More

We recently stayed in Hunger Wall residences and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Place has been beautifully renovated, had all facilities you would want including kitchenette and washing machine and dryer. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's in great spot easy walk to Charles Bridge. An added bonus was lovely cafe downstairs which served seriously good coffee and lovely... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
