Travellers' Choice
The COSMOPOLITAN is a gorgeous 1889 townhouse carefully restored with a modern touch of the "belle époque" style. The newly redesigned luxury boutique hotel retains gentle aspects of this magnificent historic building, but transforms the interiors to create a dynamic mixture of old and new, past and present. The hotel is ideally located on a quiet street of the Prague Old Town, only a few steps from all important shopping and sightseeing attractions. 106 lavishly designed rooms and suites are decorated in elegant cream shades accenting contemporary accessory colours, specific to each room type. Luxurious bathrooms spoil with great size, heated floors and mirrors. The bedrooms come complete with plush amenities including complimentary tea & coffee, interactive TV, bathrobes & slippers or minibar, as well as many safety features. For relaxation or exercise a 24-hour gym and sauna are also available complimentary. Free Wi-Fi throughout. Smoke-free policy. Next Door restaurant by TV celebrity Chef Zdeněk Pohlreich is a must see venue with original 1889 ceiling frescos brilliantly complementing new design by an Italian architect Luciano Belcapo. Czech modern cuisine in a trendy bistro style made strictly from the freshest ingredients. Watching the well-coordinated chef orchestra in the open plan kitchen is just thrilling. Advance bookings recommended.

We stayed in Cosmopolitan from the 26/11 to the 30/11 in Room 308. The hotel is modern, nice and super clean. The room was great, smelled nice and it was cleaned every day. I'd like to thank the chambermaid as she was super friendly and our room was always cleaned spotlessly. Breakfast is plentiful and overall good, although I cannot not mention that eggs, sausages and bacon were stone cold every day. I got a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine on my birthday, along with a birthday card which was a nice touch. Thank you! :) The hotel is located in walking distance from every major attraction. I didn't like that during check-in the Receptionist was checking for my girlfriend's visa in her passport. Upon learning that she had a permanent residentship in Denmark, the Receptionist the asked for her permanency id card. This has never happened to us before in any hotel in the EU and the Czech Republic (we stayed in hotels in Brno and Špindlerův Mlýn just after Cosmopolitan). The hotel is not the immigration service or the airport to have that authority. I don't want to think that this is just because my girlfriend is Russian (Czech sentiment towards Russians is widely known), but rather a malpractice on the part of the hotel. If it is, though, people in 2021 should learn not to hold everyday folks accountable for 1968.

This is a wonderful and amazing hotel ! Staff are professional and friendly and the rooms beautiful and clean. The front desk met all my needs and answered questions and the breakfast buffet staff were efficient and friendly. The hotel is a few minutes walk from old town and next to a modern mall. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful stay I had.

Good location, plenty of restaurants in the immediate area. Check in was super efficient, covid vaccine checks made. Front desk was very helpful. Room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast, buffet style was excellent, wide choice, you can even have a glass of sparkling wine !!!!! Could not fault our short stay. Rounded off by a super comfortable limo transfer to the airport. Big thumbs up to all at the Cosmopolitan !!!!

One of the best hotels you can stay at in Prague. Especially during covid the prices are an amazing bargain. We love the contemporary style, comfortable beds, Next Door restaurant, great breakfast, and of course the location is ideal. You can tell that whoever is managing this hotel is doing a great job as the service is always professional, kind, and helpful.

We were in Prague touring the Castle when my friend fell and broke her arm, which required surgery at the Military Hospital. Being only Day 2 of an Avalon River Cruise we had to cancel our trip. The only positive thing was the way the Avalon and the hotel staff were in helping us. The Military Hospital was a horrible experience for my friend, but the staff at Cosmopolitan Hotel was so gracious, concerned, and accommodating that we will want to stay there again when we return next year to do the Avalon River Cruise we missed . The front desk in particular treated us so well and genuinely that I look forward to returning when I hope to see Ralista once again and thank her once more for making Prague so memorable. Hotel was central to all the fabulous walking that makes Prague unforgettably beautiful. Thank you.
