This new alpine-style hotel combines a perfect location with a friendly atmosphere and German quality with Czech prices, the best conditions for a pleasant stay. Thanks to the large signs on access roads, the hotel is easy to find. There is ample parking behind the hotel building. The hotel rooms are large, bright, clean and comfortable, from which you have a beautiful view of the wooded surroundings. The quiet location allows you to sleep at night with the windows open. The varied breakfast buffet exceeds the level of good German hotels, which we didn’t really expect. The cold cuts and bread from Bavaria were particularly good. The hotel is a perfect starting point for hikes and excursions in the Bohemian Forest on the Czech and Bavarian sides. However, you should have a car or a motorcycle with you. The hotel wifi signal is not strong enough in all hotel rooms, but the public LTE signal is available everywhere. All hotel rooms have a TV with Czech and German programs. But there is no fridge and no possibility to brew coffee or tea. Instead, you can always get something good to eat and drink in the downstairs restaurant. We recommend having lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant. We tried many different dishes from the menu and were always happy with it. The venison goulash with Bavarian potato pancakes was especially good. The menu is available in Czech and German, but only in the restaurant and not on the bilingual hotel web page. The interior of the restaurant is decorated in the Bavarian style. In summer you can sit outside under a very old linden tree, a really nice place. The very friendly waiter was always helpful and communicative. If you want to spend some beautiful days in the Bohemian Forest, or if you are in this area and want to eat something good, consider this hotel with its restaurant. You will be pleased.

We didn't stay at this hotel but rather descended upon them with group of 9 Dads and 20 + children. They actually opened up the hotel restaurant to feed us and were attentive throughout our meal. Given the predictable chaos a group of this size could bring I was really impressed with their customer service. This is not always the case in Czech Republic so I think its only fair to draw attention to it when it happens. Thanks guys.

I stayed here last Spring with my cousin and had a great time. It is off the beaten path tucked into the hillside surrounded by the forest. It is a well kept building inside and out. The price was fair and the rooms were very clean and the water in the shower was warm. I found the Owner/Manager to be very pleasant, friendly with a great sense of humor. After dropping our bags off we headed for one of the many hiking trails easy accessible straight from the hotel which was nice as we could leave the car in the lot. The Hotel is surrounded by nature and wildlife. We saw many Birds, Deer, and even came across a huge pack of Wild Boar as they trampled through the forest. I recommend hiking to the peak of the nearby Osser Mountain, The trail head starts at the edge of the parking lot. We left after breakfast and hiked at a leisurely pace up the mountain until we reached the summit, A restaurant is located on top called "Osserschutzhaus. We enjoyed a small lunch and a couple beers and took our time enjoying the stunning view of the surrounding area. After a nice slow hike back, we had plenty of time to get cleaned up before having a nice Bohemian Style supper at the Hotels restaurant. We shared our nature sightings with the other guests and finished the evening with lots of fresh Pilsners. I slept great and the breakfast provided with our stay was terrific, lots of fresh paštika and fruits. So sorry we had to leave. I would recommend to all.
