A lovely, clean hotel with probably the best breakfast I've had in Czech Republic. We were given one of the biggest doubles to be made into a triple, all in wood and which is featured in their pamphlet. However, it is on a top floor, up various sets of stairs; luckily there was a porter for my suitcase. There is no air conditioning & it has only 2 small windows overlooking restaurants, leaving us the choice to put up with the noise or the summer heat. Beautiful, but this room is probably not to be reserved in summer.

The hotel is placed in roughly 4 connected historical buildings in the very center of the city. It has a very special genius loci, especially for the children. Both our rooms were clean and very well equipped. Mainly the service was absolutely perfect, everyone was very helpful at any situation. Even the breakfests were rich and tasty, we’d only appreciate having it earlier (it begins at 8 AM), so we can start our trips early in the morning. The price of the accommodation was excellent, too. To be honest, I was expecting much lower quality for the offered price when booking the rooms. It was one of my best stays ever, may be 5 stars is not a good enough rating, so I rate the hotel with 5.5 stars this way at least.

Nice service - esp. Mr. Paul Lindner in the front office :o), great room, perfect food, all located in the real center of the city. We spent with the family "soul wellness" weekend - full service, not need to take a care about anythink. I can really reccomend!

My fiancé and I ate at the hotel restaurant today and he ordered a beef dish with mashed potatoes. After a few bites, he noticed the mashed potatoes had pork in them. I had tasted them as well and didn’t notice. (It was ground up and seemingly unnoticeable) My fiancé does not eat pork and I am a vegetarian. As we were both disgusted, we asked the waiter for the check and mentioned the menu should state if a dish has pork in it as many people do not eat pork. (We double checked the menu to make sure it wasn’t listed) The waiter got someone presumed to be the manager, Monica. As he was explaining the situation we saw her roll her eyes and shrug her shoulders. We went inside to pay the check, despite not having eaten, when I once again mentioned it should be listed on the menu. Again, she shrugged her shoulders and said “that’s how we make our mashed potatoes; the dish has beef, what’s the difference.” I explained that as I thought it was just mashed potatoes, I had tasted them and I am a vegetarian, and my fiancé does not eat pork. She kept stating that we “should have asked,” and it’s not their fault as we should have inquired first. It is not common practice to grind up small bits of pork into potatoes, so I’m not quite sure how she expected us to feel it necessary to inquire if there was pork in the dish. We were both exceptionally polite up until that point when I stated “an apology would have at least been appreciated.” (She had not offered to replace the dish nor had she offered the slightest bit of an apology) She again stated “well that’s how they’re made” like this is how potatoes are normally prepared. We left the restaurant very agitated and the situation semi spoiled the rest of the day. Needless to say, this place was a major disappointment.
