The place is situated in the heart of the city center, literally a few steps from the main square, but for this reason, it's quite a noisy place to stay, especially due to local nightlife. According to the fact that the hotel is an apartment hotel, the room is an entire flat – quite large lining area with huge couch and kitchenette, separate bedroom, immense bathroom, and even walk-in closet. This doesn't quite suit me but maybe it's fine for another type of guest. Hotel staff was nice to us – due to our late arrival, the hotel clerk prepared for us a contactless check-in. Contrary to that the breakfast buffet was quite lousy, and next time I would rather prefer to eat somewhere else.

We booked a split level apartment for the weekend. First of all there is no parking, some works are being done on the street. only hope for a spot which we found near the residence. We paid a few CZK till 6pm, then its free and on Saturday we went out for most of the day so really no need to get a parking from the hotel which they offer you at 150 CZK. Now the building is dated but the location could not be better as you will be staying directly in city centre with shops, bars, restaurants and sights within 10 mins walk. Girls on receptions were really nice and helpful with everything. Room itself again dated. It really tried to be modern and at a same time sort of blended with the history...but its not. Bathroom could use a renovation, so does the kitchenette. The odd spiderweb is fine for me in a such a building but some1 else might not be so happy. Rest of it, great. 2 sets of aircons, washing machine, room is huge actually. Breakfast are served in the nearby restaurant. Nice but nothing special. Except for cakes, homemsde, they were... well GREAT! Overall, i would return for the location, for the size of the rooms, for the sort of "home" feeling to the rooms.

Residence U Cerne Veze Ceske Budejovice is an apartment hotel with rooms across a number of adjacent buildings in a typical Old Town street just a few minutes’ walk from the central Square. We stayed in the very large one-bedroomed apartment known as ‘Top View’ with a rooftop terrace and views over parts of the Old Town. This particular unit was accessed via a traditional lift in a mostly office-based building with various security gates to pass through and the last floor to climb by a stairway. The kitchen and furnishings were new and there was an enormous number of storage cupboards. Breakfasts were adequate and were served on the first floor of a restaurant (no lift) that also forms one part of the complex. Towels (some a little worn) were changed every 3 days and sheets every 5 (We had to press for the latter, for some reason). There is no daily maid service and cleaning was most limited on the days when sheets or towels were changed. Reception was helpful and English-speaking. Parking is a few hundred metres away where a security barrier protects an outdoor parking place.

We wanted to go to Cesky Krumlov but didn't want to lug our luggage to Krumlov. So I came up with a plan to stay here, see Cesky Budejovice in the evening and then leave luggage with the hotel and make a day trip to Krumlov. The plan worked really nicely since the town square and river area in Cesky Budejovice are really nice. And we took the RegioJet to Krumlov for 1.35 Euro for one way travel. These are very nice apartments being used for hotel. Overall lots of space and comfortable. We didn’t even use everything an apartment offers - e.g. we did not use the kitchen and even them very happy with the place. It was nice and clean. There is one front person staff and she was super nice - even helped us book a cab and deal with an idiotic cab driver. She went over the town directions too patiently. The breakfast was ok - if they just had a toaster to warm the bread, it would make a huge difference. If I was visiting this area again, I would have no hesitation in staying here. Also, if you are planning a day trip to Krumlov, adding Ceske Budejovice to your travel plan in my opinion makes it really easy - take the train from Vienna to Budejovice for 9 Euro with an easy train change at Ceske Valencie. Cab to the hotel was around 6 Euro - walk-in distance is shorter than can distance but definitely not worth walking the distance with larger bags. Lots of dining options right around the Budejovice square. One thing to mention is the sound level - it is right on the street with cobbled roads and cars going fast. With windows closed, I could hardly hear the cars - we did not have any sleep issues.
