We are sitting on our lovely balcony post sunset here at Secret Harbour. We just enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Sunset Grille Beach Bar. Saw a turtle poking his head up in the water, just past the rail.) The snorkeling is great right off...More
Really enjoyed the peaceful ambience, no crowds, and great beach. Wonderful to have no problem getting space on the sand relaxing, with swimming or snorkeling just steps away. Entire staff was extraordinarily polite and helpful. We were in one of the condos in building 7...a...More

Didn't stay in that room but Tom A. seems to have hit the nail on the head with most of his comments. We were on the top floor and I would only do that again too however people with ground floor rooms can walk right out from their patios if you get up early and snatch a good spot on the beach by putting towels out on the chairs. Beach is fair in size but that's all relative to other places. You should get some chairs and an umbrella set-up early. St. Thomas has a rule where no beach is private (I believe) so people from cruise ships can come on to the beach there. That only happened a little when we were there in March.
Restaurant is top notch. Beach bar is okay, service is so-so. Views are fantastic. Taxis are a must if you have to go anywhere. Overall, a very nice place, quiet, peaceful and in the case of our room very well-appointed. Regret not going to Magen's Bay.
DO NOT walk to Red Hook. Too dangerous with the sight lines and winding roads.
There are lots of restaurants close but I would recommend taxis or renting a car. The roads are steep and narrow and I would not have been comfortable walking far especially after dark. We rented a car and it was great!
