A random hotel search on the internet, drew us to this hotel & what a find it was. This hotel ticked all our boxes, travelling with a 2 year old. The staff were super friendly, the food was excellent & the service was top notch. The hotel has plenty of choice for families( & golf which we didn’t use) from an outdoor play area, swimming pool, a cinema & a lovely 5km walk around the perimeter of the golf course. Kildare outlet is only 20 mins from the hotel & while asking for information on it, we were given a 10% discount card, which proved to be very useful!!! I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel & will defo be visiting again. A big thank you to the hotel for our surprise upgrade to a junior suite. The suite was beyond amazing & the extra space was beneficial for a highly active toddler. Can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Dear Taz2978 What an amazing review, you appear to have enjoyed all of our facilities while you were here and Im delighted there was plenty to entertain your little toddler too. The Kildare Village outlet is a super asset for us to have so close, many of our guests enjoy some retail therapy while staying with us. Thank you for recommending our beautiful property to others, we hope you rebook soon again with us and thoroughly enjoy the experience once again. Kind regards Majella Brady Front of House Manager

I stayed here with my sisters and parents for one lovely night.

Before checkin, we decided to eat lunch at the café just inside the entrance, Oriens. Service was prompt, staff were polite and attentive and the food was delicious, particularly a beautiful seafood chowder.

On arrival, there was a bit of a backup with reception but that was quickly resolved. We were explained in a calm and thorough manner what we could do and what our booking involved.

Myself and my sisters room was a superior twin on the first floor that was spacious and well decorated with complimentary Nescafé coffee and Barry's Gold Blend with biscuits. My sister and parents were ecstatic to find baths in both rooms. The toiletries had a lovely jasmine scent and the decor was a beautiful combination of 1930s class and modern design, with sandy and soft cream tones.

The swimming pool had to be prebooked. We were left robes and slippers in the room which we wore over our swimsuits to go down. There were only about 10 people in all in a medium sized pool with a jacuzzi area. We were handed towels at the spa reception.
The gym, which we booked for later in the evening, was small but well stocked, with social distancing ensured with zones and cleaning products provided.

Dinner was the star of the show. Cocktails were delicious and starters were fantastic, particularly the calamari rings. As for mains, the vegetable pizza was large and beautiful with lovely flavour, the beef shin was melt in your mouth and the burger was lovely and catered to coeliacs with a tasty GF bun. Desserts were great as well, with tasty ice creams and a brilliant cheese platter (pictured). The entire meal was served by helpful, polite and attentive staff, specifically our server Leanne.

Beds were soft and presumably memory foam and the heated towel rail was brilliant for wet items. There was a heated AC in the room although I would suggest turning it off at night as it is loud and hot.
The room was dark and quiet throughout the night and we slept reaaonably well.

We had breakfast booked early. Again, coeliacs were catered well for, with lovely soft scones and delicious sausages (pictured). The continental was replaced with an Afternoon Tea style presentation that was placed on the table with bread, pastries, mango smoothie shots (pictured), granola and fruit skewers. The smoothie shots were the only disappointment as they were weak in flavour and bitter.
The cooked menu was available through QR code, with lovely pancakes and waffles (pictured), a Full Irish, a 3 egg omelette and more.
Juices, teas and coffees were offered and were lovely as well.
Checkout at 12 gave us loads of time to sort ourselves out, having showers and packing up.
Altogether, it was a lovely stay and we will definitely revisit!

The minute I walked in I felt safe with all the safety hand hygiene throughout the hotel very friendly covid ambassador Welcoming me at the door with my partner explaining all safety procedures which made me feel very relaxed and safe.
Arrived at reception Katelyn was so helpful no questions was to hard to ask she really looked after us.

We stayed in a beautiful room beds were so comfortable the room was spotless
First evening we went down to Seven bar for food and cocktails service was quick and efficient food was lovely
My partner and I had the pizza deal package in our stay which we had on the second evening delivered to our room with the sides included couldn’t fault it at all.
Breakfast both mornings were highly enjoyable with the display of continental breakfast stands served first before our hot breakfast,Sheena really looked after us.

The most enjoyable part was the spa experience on the day we were leaving felt so relaxed and energized for the day.

Overall I will 100% be back hopefully sooner than later thanks to all the staff in the Heritage hotel for a stay I’ll never forget can’t wait to stay again

Arrived to spa at 5.30pm and checked in with main reception. We walked ourselves to the spa lounge as the girls at main reception didn't seem too bothered to escort us (I've never experienced this before). Got to spa lounge to find mountains of towels, robes and hangers scattered everywhere from earlier spa goers. It was absolutley freezing but we went ahead and got into our swimming attire. Realised at this point we had no access to robes, slippers or towels so was forced to walk back out to main reception to request this. The girl apologised as she thought we were going to the gym despite me giving her my spa pass to stamp. She also advised me of the broken heating system which explained why it was baltic. Nonetheless we got sorted and attended the spa. Was dissapointed to see bins filled with empty cups from earlier, the fruit was completely gone and small amount of water left in dispenser. This is supposed to add to the spa experience when relaxing at the foot spa or laying on loungers overlooking golf course. Not to mention the spa itself was freezing. This is what I paid for! I just stayed in the pool for most of the time to stay warm but to say I'm dissapointed is an understatement. I have many more passes to use for the spa and have paid more than enough for the service, I would like to think that the spa should operate at 5.30pm just as it would at 10am when it's busy. It's open until 8.30pm so customer service should be 100% and all facilities should be kept clean and fruit/water topped up. I have attended the heritage for many years and spoken highly of the service infact even got married there. It took 8 calls on Sunday between 2pm-4pm for someone to pick up from main reception so I could make my spa booking. I have seen the heritage drop its standards and quality of service in the last few months, very much dissapointed. Hope my feedback is taken on board and used to improve the services.

I stayed recently with my family. It was wonderful to get back to some sort of normality. We all felt very safe, the rooms were spotless and you can see that a lot of work went into the extra safety measures around the hotel.
Our rooms were spacious and beds were super comfy. Breakfast and dinner had to be booked in advance but was all very smooth. Great selection of pastries, yoghurt, smoothie shots on an afternoon tea style stand. Tea and coffee was dropped to the table and hot breakfast ordered. Food was piping hot and arrived in a timely fashion.
Dinner was also great. Loads of space between tables but still a nice atmosphere. Food was excellent couldnt fault anything.
We went to the bar after dinner for a few drinks. Staff take your order and drop to your table.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return.

We have stayed here in a number of occasions and have always thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful hotel. One of my biggest credits is their attention to detail except on this recent stay. Normally we have water in our room, this time there was none, we booked a family suite and normally the couch bed is pulled out and made up for the kids, however this time it wasn’t, I went to reception to request it be done and I was asked have we kids staying...am obviously. A lady came to the room later on to make up the couch bed (she was fabulous) but she couldn’t make up the couch bed as the leg was broken off, I can’t help but think this was a big “coincidence” that it was the first time the couch bed was not sorted on our arrival and it was broken. She had to go and her beds etc on her own god love her. The night duty manager sorted a window that wouldn’t close properly and he was so pleasant and lovely. The toilet handle in the bigger bathroom wasn’t working properly and we had to flush 2-3 times to sort the toilet. It was just disappointing when we are used to a better and higher standard from this hotel. I know it’s little things but when you’re paying decent prices you expect the little things to be attended to.

Stayed in the Heritage in July 2020 with my mother and sister just after lockdown and it was just perfection . The staff were phenomenal considering all the new protocols, they had thought of everything so that we didn't have to think we could just relax. We had afternoon tea and it was so pretty and tasty with such a variety of treats in a beautiful room. Our bedroom was so spacious with 2 big comfy beds and a lovely view of the golf course and lake. Shower was also huge with lovely espa products which smell divine. We had dinner and drinks that evening and the staff were incredible, made us feel so at ease considering how unsure everyone is a this uncertain time there wasn't one thing I can say wasn't taken into consideration. Table service in the bar was brilliant . We weren't waiting any length of time for our drinks . Dinner was so lovely, so fresh from the fish to the veg and the steak it was divine!
The following morning we had a delicious breakfast with everything that would be on the buffet served to us on a 3 tiered tray while we waited for our hot food. Hot food arrived after. Pancakes and waffles would be hard to beat.
Spa experience followed and I have no words but I'll find some, the spotless Spa circuit was so much fun from the hot tub to the all the different showers, foot treatments and rooms to chill out in it was just a fabulous way to spend a few hours. I then had a the BEST full body massage off my life and I'm a trained and experienced massage therapist myself. Ask for Sinead in the Heritage Spa and you will not be disappointed. The comfort of the need, the aromas, the music, the room temperature.. It is quite hard to perfect all of these and also get an amazing treatment. Thank you Sinead and thank you The Heritage it was blissful.

We ordered afternoon tea for 2pm as, due to Covid, we did not expect our room to be ready before 4pm. However our Junior suite was ready and didn't disappoint. We had pre-booked breakfast, dinner, Spa and even our Adult swim time prior to arrival. We were met at the entrance by a designated Covid Ambassador. Guests and staff all work protective facemasks. There were hand sanatizers everywhere and plenty of social distancing. We were asked to wear robes & slippers to the pool/spa in order to avoid using changing rooms. The room was large with a huge bathroom and separate wc & washbasin as well. There was a sofa with tv, nespresso machine, mini fridge. The bed was enormous and there was a tv opposite it as well. We ate in Seven bar one night and Blakes the 2nd. All meals were excellent. The staff were really lovely and a credit to the hotel. In the adjacent Spa I had a relaxing facial from a lovely young lady called Linda. She tailored it specifically to my skin type. I then had a full body massage from Shannon. She asked me if I wanted a gentle or deep tissue massage. I asked for the latter and that's what I got.👍 My husband used the pool at a pre-arranged time, which only allowed limited numbers, after that he used the facilities of the hydrotherapy area. This was part of our Relax & Unwind package. It would have cost €15 to use this facility otherwise. There is a private 5km walking track around the golf course. The course itself is excellent and has a good rate for hotel guests. We had a really enjoyable stay in the Heritage and cannot recommend it highly enough. The friendly staff and excellent facilities make it a hotel well worth visiting. We also stopped in Kildare Village on the way home. Its just 20 mins away, with plenty of designer outlets and good covid precautions

I just stayed at this hotel with a friend. From reception to lunch after checkout, I was extremely impressed with how safe and comfortable every staff member made us feel. It was a very welcome respite away from the hectic pace and stress of life and not once did I feel u safe even though the hotel was busy! Food was exceptional, hotel was spotless and as an expectant mother the attention to service, from carrying my luggage to offering non alcoholic drinks for me I really wouldn’t hesitate in recommending anyone to come for an overnight stay. You won’t be disappointed. Shout out to Richie from the bar for helping.

We went to The Heritage for a double celebration -to celebrate our recent engagement and to enjoy a Christmas present of a night away
We upgraded at booking and went for a jnr suite and dinner package. Arrived at around 5pm and went straight to the room. The jnr suite was fab, very spacious, beautifully decorated with a double balcony overlooking the golf course. We sat in the room and enjoyed the view until dark and then settled in the living room area enjoying a bottle of wine and the fire. Went for dinner at 9pm. Resturant was quieter then so lost a little bit of atmosphere but the food came out quickly and was very nice. The menu looked to be set (as it was a b&b and dinner package) so I would have liked to see other options and maybe pay a supplement? After dinner went for a drink the bar, real open fires were lovely and had a real nice atmosphere there. Bed in the room was very comfortable so had a great night sleep, shower and free standing bath was also very good. Ordered breakfast to the room the next morning as the view was amazing. Breakfast came a little late, but was hot and very tasty. Would definitely recommend and will return...but it would have to be in a jnr suite again.

A family room is one large room with two queen beds. They have rooms that interconnect so a double room for parents into a twin room with two single beds, suitable for two adults and two kids. They also have double rooms that interconnect to a family room, so again the double room for parents into a room with two queen beds, suitable for two adults and up to four kids. They also have the Penthouse Apartments with two bedrooms (one en suite), but they also have a fully equipped kitchen, dining/living room and a balcony which is safe for kids and overlooks the lovely golf course. They have plenty of options for families, it all depends on how many is in your family and how many nights you wish to stay.

Stayed last Friday night with my daughter. Felt very safe at all time as there were sanitisers at all critical points ie reception , outside lifts on all floors, outside dining room. Etc. You need to book BOTH your dinner plus breakfast time. People didn’t sit around reception area from what I could observe but this area was NOT cordoned off. The bar appeared to be in use but staff were extremely vigilant in ensuring social distancing was observed at all times. Would highly recommend!
