June 15, We are all so excited here at Qunci to see familiar faces back with us again. And really Happy Faces at that! It is great to be able to travel again. And as noted here it's now so easy to get into Indonesia that we are seeing loads of our guests coming back to visit us again. All that's required is your vaccine certificate and the $35 Visa on Arrival fee. Its all simple again! Here at Qunci we've been working hard over the past few months to make sure that our hotel is at the same level of service that out guests have known in the past - and expect again when they return to our idyllic island. Covid or no Covid. Happy Travels and we hope you dont have to wait such a long time to come back and visit us again!

Qunci is still great, despite the pandemic ! As we start to travel again we are all very curious if our favourite places have survived, and in good working order..and Qunci has ! I have holidayed in Qunci every year for 10 years and just spent 3 wonderful days there. After 3 years away still great beachfront, excellent rooms and staff. Wonderful tropical gardens and pools...and excellent food...all like before ! Flying domestic from Bali was a breeze, just 40min on a covid-safe flight of Wings And last week flying from Sydney to Bali also so easy...which I feared it wouldnt be. Smooth Visa-on-Arrival (VOA) was just a simple A$50 payment, no PCR tests needed at Australian or Bali end, just show your Double Vax Certificate. And even since my flight last week it has got even easier with no Covid Insurance policy needing to be purchased at Bali Airport Qunci is still great....and I am so happy to experience it still is :)

I have just spent a few days at Qunci after an absence of 2 years. So glad I can travel back here to enjoy the beautiful grounds, the wonderful staff and of course the food. Still great all round and no complaints from me. The views from the restaurant and from my oceanview room, are as magical as ever and the days here have been terrific. Currently planning a return trip in September.

This resort deserves the recognition because this place is truly magnificent. The food is beyond my expectations, the ambience is so peaceful it really is a honeymoon. I cant wait to bring my family here for the holiday. I would like to thank everyone that made the trip so memorable.

My aunt booked Qunci Villas for the wedding early this year, it was beautiful and memorable. Perfect venue, especially during this pandemic, best outdoor set up, great food & drinks, not to forget the friendly service from all staff. We really enjoyed our family time there, kids and teens are welcome, so...no hustle for us as a big family to choose any kind of chilling activities. Yes definitely Recommended.

May 4th Thank you for your recent review of Qunci Villas and your recommendation to future guests to stay here. We pride ourselves on our beachfront set-up, drinks and especially our friendly service which has always helped Qunci Villas to stand out in the hospitality industry in Lombok As I write this, we are finishing up our plans to have Qunci Villas back to a level of service our guests have known and loved over the years : an Idyllic Hotel on the beach in Lombok facing the majestic Mount Gunung Agung of Bali rising from the sea. And as I mention above, what also sets Qunci apart in Lombok is our uncompromising commitment to service. We are working tirelessly to bring back that standard following the difficult past couple of years: - We have completed the renovation of all rooms; - We have refurbished all the pool lounge chairs and facilities; - The gardens are looking fabulous; - The Spa has been repainted and refurbished; - And Most Importantly, we are re-training all of our staff to ensure that our guests have the same fabulous, memorable stay at Qunci that they have always expected from Qunci Villas in the past. What's left? Our restaurant service. During the past couple of years we had very few guests eat in-house for lunch or dinner and for breakfast we went months only serving nasi goreng (fried rice) on a menu serving breakfast dishes from around-the-world. We now have a European Chef acting as a consultant reviewing our menus, staffing, equipment and training program to get all of our 3 restaurants fully open at Qunci's high standards by July - in 2 months. Our consultant has opened some of Bali and Lombok's finest restaurants and with his help we will have all 3 of our restaurants fully operating with enticing menu options soon. In August, he will pass the torch to an accomplished European Chef who will run our daily operations, create new fine dining dishes with local ingredients and re-start our Chefs in the Wild dinners with renowned Chefs from around the world. Like everyone else, Qunci Villas and our staff are excited about the return of tourism and we are doing our best to make sure that you, our guests, are treated to the same memorable memories that our guests have had in the past. Happy Travels!

7 Days at Qunci Villas only a few rooms are occupied, cause breakfast is provided per person only 1 menu. not many menu choice, mosly just egg combination. choosing qunci villa for 7 days was a mistake. They did a room upgrade instead as many rooms were vacant. The view from the hotel is very beautiful. Not suitable for families with children, there is not even a TV there. Suitable for couples who need a quiet place with a beautiful view but don't stay too long. There is nothing special about the lunch or dinner menu. Maybe not 3 star but 3.5 star cause they hv beautiful view.

March 10, 2022 Welcome back to Lombok and Qunci Villas for all of our new and returning guests. The past 4 years have been incredibly difficult for Qunci as you are well aware. 2 years of COVID, and before that the earthquakes, decimated tourism in Lombok. But now we are back and getting Qunci ready for our guests again. During the past 4 years, Qunci Villas like many hotels in Lombok, has been operating with nearly no guests. We had many days, weeks - months - with no guests at all. The most prudent action would have been to shut our hotel and wait out the recent pandemic. But as you can imagine, with most of our staff reliant on Qunci Villas to support their families, any operation that we could maintain to provide work was welcomed by our staff. So even though we reduced operations, closed 2 restaurants, closed the Spa 5 days of the week, and closed many of our pools, we maintained as much of our operations as economically feasible to provide employment. And yes as noted in a few reviews here our menus changed. Since we had to depend on the local Lombok market for the few visitors Qunci had, out of necessity we changed menus. For instance, at one point we went 3 months serving only requests for nasi goreng (fried rice) for breakfast. Hence, it didnt make sense to prep for Eggs Benedict or a Canadian breakfast when no one would order them. But now with Lombok and Indonesia opening for tourism again, our team has been working tirelessly, renovating and repainting all of our rooms. The gardens are pruned. All the pools are clean and new pumps installed where necessary. The Spa has been reopened and we are hiring and training new staff across the board to complement the core staff that helped Qunci through these past 4 years. Every one of our senior managers - with the exception of our expat Chef - stayed with Qunci and will be on board to help with the transition back to a full service hotel. Additionally, we are in the process of opening back up all of our restaurants; we have begun expanding the menus to include our guests favorite dishes, and we expect to have on board a European-trained Chef by May to take on the duties of fully managing our 3 restaurants/bar. We apologize to any of our guests that visited us during the pandemic and noted some of our faults as mentioned in the reviews here on TripAdvisor. But rest assured, Qunci Villas was known over the past 20 years as a premium resort in Lombok for a simple reason : our staff and commitment to service. We expect to regain your trust and that of the traveling community by providing that same level of service again at Qunci Villas. We hope that you will decide to visit us in 2022.....and Happy Travels!

Glad to see that despite the limited staff and lower occupancy this hotel/resort is well-maintained. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Room is super spacious and AC was working very well. It can get super humid and hot in the island in the afternoon. Food is great too! They have the best tiramisu!

It was my 4th visit to Qunci Villa. I chose the place because of 3 previous nice experiences. But this time I got chock. We arrived to dirty room , dirty bedsheet , broken curtains, dirty windows . Had to ask to get the room cleaned. Outside we were met with fallen leaves from more than 2 days, dirty pool area, water in the middle pool so dirty that you could not see the tiles at the bottom of pool. Broken sunloungers many ... outdated pool towels. dirty mattress on the gazebo as well as the sun lounger. Its fair to close part of the hotel in the time of covid where also less guest are visiting, but at Qunci the furniture were stored like in a very poor warehouse. the View to the left when sitting at the restaurant would be this storage .. It is the owners choice to open the hotel during the time of Covid it is therefor also the owners responsibility to make sure the guest get a comfortable and nice stay at the place. The internet mention covid safety .. it was difficult to find, and the internet still show picture of a high-class villa hotel .. Staff told us the owner were in Bali. There were no staff at the reception in the evening. We did also not see a security, First morning we were waiting for taxi at the reception. No staff before after 7am.
