I stayed in motel room 6 up the back, super quiet and amazingly comfortable. Super comfy bed with all the amenities you would expect from a great, well-maintained property. Plus the best shower I've ever experienced! If you're heading to King Island and you're after somewhere lovely to stay definietly consider this place!
Our room was spacious with a view of the sea and the lighthouse. It had modern furnishings and a kitchenette with a microwave. Breakfast was included, also plentiful supllies of tea, coffee and biscuits. The large bathroom had big, soft white towels and all supplies.
Went over for work and we booked the 3brm unit for 3 nights, clean, tidy and very comfortable. Julie and the girls were great, very knowledgeableand friendly to talk with. Hopefully get back to KI for R&R and will definitely stay here again..
Julie was most welcoming. We felt like we were staying with family. Rooms were clean and comfortable with beautiful views to lighthouse. Where else do you get porridge for breakfast? Highly recommend for families, single or groups
This motel is so good. It has stunning views of the lighthouse and ocean, is very clean, the rooms are fabulously equipped for what you need for a few nights. The heater was on when we arrived and the room was so cosy...thanks to Julia
We stayed in the motel room. Clean and adequate with a nice view over the We were expecting a welcome and information about the motel but this was inadequate, continental breakfast of toast and cereal was okay except one cereal was allbran... no choice, so one of us missed out ( we don’t like all bran on it’s own! Only bag teabagcoffee no coffee maker, Sorry to be picky but I was expecting a bit more of a warm welcome, with someone local to ask about KI, and only on the last day did we discover there was a laundry we could use. The Island seemed shut down apart from the Cheese Factory which was welcoming and awesome. The bed was comfy, we figured out the heater and shower worked well. We had a relaxing time but ran out if things to do on day 3 . Check out at 10 meant we were asked twice before then when we were going as someone was coming. Hmmmm…
We stayed for 2 nights from the 7th December. Motel style accommodation within reasonable walking distance to Currie. Because we stayed early in week most of the restaurants apart from the pub were closed. Had a meal at the pub on the first night and then thought we would cook ourselves for the 2nd night an got steak, coleslaw and other veggies from the supermarket. I have not come across better facilities at any other venue. Fully enclosed heated room with about six tables, with a view looking over to Currie Harbour. Plates, cutlery, oil, and everything you need to cook, with 2 BBQ plates. Exceptional. Good service from the manager also.
I have stayed here 3 time recently while visiting King Island for work. The first time I stayed it the Motel rooms - clean comfortable and cozy. Great breakfast pack every morning . We hosted a bbq in the communal kitchen - it has everything that you could possibly need with an amazing view. Second stay was in the 3 bedroom self contained apartment - again clean and cozy - and I took advantage of the guest laundry which was just next door. This stay I am in one of the A-Frames - self contained with a balcony overlooking the town of Currie - nothing is lacking - felt warm and safe one night when a massive storm blew through. Julie is one of the best Managers I have ever dealt with - nothing is too much trouble for her and she is very accessible - even came up to tell me in person on Sunday when there was a burst water main which temporarily shut off the water - service with a smile.…
Nice clean room with view looking over the Currie lighthouse & hills. Bed very comfy. Continental breakfast very handy. The location is walking distance to Currie town centre. Definitely will book again.
We are experiencing some difficulties and Julie was extremely understanding, she was disappointed with what happened, but she was very helpful and we appreciate it tremendously. We definitely be going to stay with them when we are back on King Island!
