I was delayed on a business trip and Krystal at the front desk made me feel very welcomed. I was able to conveniently book a room and she carefully explained the hotel amenities to me. I’m titanium elite at Marriott and she’s one of best employees I’ve encountered.
Check in was easy and we received our room keys immediately. We were a group of 30 with over 10 rooms and not one of us had an issue. The staff at the bar were AMAZING!! Especially the pool bar staff :) They would have our drinks ready before we walked over. We had dinner and lunch there on many days and the food was delicious. Breakfast was included but we always slept in. Our room was cleaned daily and always spotless. The hotel has a great feeling of being at an all-inclusive and is a beautiful resort. Only downside was I lost $200 at the casino :( We will all definitely come back next summer.
We decided upon booking to upgrade to a two room suite with a full view of the ocean. We are very glad we did as the morning and evening views were amazing. Daytime was spent between the pool and the beach. The room was clean and updated not too many years ago. All of the staff was helpful, friendly and very courteous. Yes, it is next to the airport. Actually, I got a kick out of watching the aircraft take off from my view on the beach. The noise from aircraft never woke me up in the eight nights we were there. There were wedding parties on the weekend. This was loud in the evening but diminished after 10pm. We would go back! Thank you Marriott for a nice week!
Juan Antonio Noriega was unbelievably amazing and so nice! The hotel was beyond accommodating, we were here as a family for a wedding and they beyond took care of us! The views and accommodations were beyond than what we could imagine
Great variety of on the beach service, great location (Uber gets you anywhere), and friendly staff. We took an excursion thru the hotel that was good and convenient. Only downside is the free drink tix - ask before you order to get the most out of that intended perk. Do not assume that your pina colada counts - it doesn’t, which is extremely nutty to me. But truly every other aspect was great.
Spent two nights here during the beginning of Oct 2022. Great location on the beach and nice atmosphere on the property. Some things that stood out to me- staff was excellent. Employees were very friendly and helpful when checking in. Even gave 2 free welcome drinks upon check in. Rooms were very clean and cleaning service was daily which was nice since they replaced coffee/water, etc used during the day. The location is near the airport so you so can hear the planes take off but after a few, we didn’t notice and it wasn’t enough to ruin our stay (or sleep). The resort is in walking distance to some restaurants which was nice. A few times we took an Uber to places like Old San Juan and Ocean Park since those locations are not within walking distance. Something to keep in mind when booking. The Uber rides were reasonable so no complaints there. The one negative I would give was the mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Not the end of the world for only 2 nights but if we were staying longer, this would have been a bigger problem. Great experience overall.…
Whenever I'm in PR visiting family, I usually stay at this hotel as it's always the best option for me in terms of location, amenities, comfort-level, and food (the food here is always delicious). You'll see I've reviewed this hotel a couple of times prior here on TripAdvisor. I was recently in PR for a family event and stayed here during Hurricane Fiona. Here are the pros and cons of my recent experience. PROS: As always, the customer service is excellent, from the check-in/out staff, maid service, bar and food service staff. The hotel is also very clean. Again, I was there during the hurricane and the day Fiona hit the island lost power (as usual) but Courtyard's back-up generators kicked in in under a minute and continued on when I left 2 days later. Service at the restaurants and bars slowed a bit during the time of the hurricane but that's to be expected as they were working with limited staff. And speaking of the staff, the ones that stayed throughout the hurricane were fantastic! They remained friendly and helpful the entire time, though I know they were working really hard to accommodate everyone during a very trying time. CONS: This is no fault of the hotel but still worth mentioning to other travelers, I believe. This trip I noticed the class of some of the guests seemed "different" from previous times I've stayed here. Usually, the Marriott's guests are a bit more classy as is a reflection of the Marriott. Not so much this time. The room next to mine had marijuana smokers smoking in their room for 3 of the 5 nights I stayed there. The odor was strong and wafted into my room. I am not a smoker of any kind and hate the smell of cigarette or marijuana smoke. I did not bother to call the front desk to complain due to it being a hurricane. That could've possibly turned into an altercation that I did not want security to have to deal with under the circumstances, as they clearly would not be able to put them out if push came to shove. Also, one day there was a very loud argument in one of the rooms across the hall from mine. Last, I witnessed some 20-somethings mostly being ignorant; loud talking/cussing on a cell phone by the outdoor bar outside, then one of them having to be walked up to her room due to over-intoxication. Again, these are no fault of the Marriott, but they are worth mentioning to other travelers to be aware of. Overall, I'd stay here again but these may be issues for management to be aware of. I stayed during hurricane season so it's possible the rates were lower than usual because it's the low season but I'd rather spend the extra $ to have a more pleasant stay.…
This Courtyard is awesome. The staff is second to none. No matter whether it was housekeeping or at restaurant they always make you feel like number 1. I want to give a special shout out to Michael. He was our server for breakfast. Always attentive and great service. I always say you get what you pay for and this hotel the service far outweighs whatever you are paying. Also they have everything, pool, hot-tub, casino(all slots are a penny), great food and right on the beach. Although we wound up being there during Hurricane Fiona they never missed a beat. This is my go to hotel when in Puerto Rico!!!!!
We were a group of 9, the rooms were great! Very nice house keeping staff and loved the zumba instructor. Everyone else at this resort was very rude and not friendly, especially the guy at the pool bar. We had coupons We got when we first arrived, he told us that we better tell him what we wanted because he was about to close, mind you, it was noon! We ordered but he didn't close, he was opened all afternoon. The lobby staff was not nice either, I will not be returning to this place.
The noise. We were placed in room 1022. Checked in on a Friday. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night there was a wedding that had music so incredibly loud I could not put my AirPods up high enough in our room to drown it out. The bass alone vibrated the bed. As an added bonus, after the music, whooping, hollering and partying stopped at 11pm, the party continued at the beach club next door into the morning hours. Add to that the super loud planes taking off and you basically get the idea. Staff full well KNOW this is an issue but they will sign that wedding contract every single time at YOUR expense of being able to enjoy your own stay that you paid a good amount for. Your guest experience is not their concern when they make money on an event and your room rate. Know that going in, no matter what canned reply they post here as a response. Don't believe them, nothing will change. I suggest demanding a room on the other side of the building to have a chance to not be forced to take part in every event they book without even being invited for food, drink, or even a dance. The food was awful, all of it, and expensive. The rooms were updated, but not clean. Our carpet was sticky (shudder), with visible stains. The extra blanket in the closet was dry rotted and unusable. The pool area is small and unclean. I pointed out a dead baby bird to a lady cleaning tables and she indicated she would "call someone" who never came. My husband ended up getting one of the laminated menus and removing two dead baby birds on his own. The chicken bone in the middle of the walkway was passed by several times by employees. I could go on. I will say the employees were nice enough, but that's really all that was redeeming about this place. If we go back we will be staying elsewhere.…
