We stayed here for one night before taking the ferry from Rosslare. This is a really lovely hotel, with friendly, professional staff, great food at both breakfast and dinner, and our room was bright and comfortable. While all the staff were excellent, a special mention to Andrew in the bar who looked after so well

My Mum and myself had a 2 night stay in Ferrycarrig Hotel in September. From the moment we checked in to when we checked out, it was just lovely. The staff are incredible, so welcoming, friendly, helpful and hardworking. We had dinner in the hotel both nights. Food was absolutely delicious, lots of choice and something to suit all tastes. And it was great to see local Wexford potatoes cooked in their skins and they were superb! The bar is closed for food since 20th Sept in the evening, but the hotel menu in Reeds Restaurant has a mix of a la carte and dishes from the Bar Menu. A good solution to staffing issues that all hospitality is experiencing at present. Hotel was spotlessly clean, adhered to all Covid protocols, sanitiser located on all floors, at dining tables etc. The rooms look out on the River Slaney Estuary which is stunning. Beds are super comfortable and the rooms are nicely furnished. Bathroom is also nicely decorated and roomy. Leaving water in the rooms is a nice touch. Breakfast is back to buffet style but because guests have to book in advance, it was managed very well and the dining room was not packed etc. Breakfast had loads of choice, and was delicious. Lovely touch too to have a local slant with local yoghurt, cheeses etc. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to beaches, Johnstown castle, etc and also to Wexford town with lots of shops, cafes etc. All in all a wonderful stay and we look forward to returning very soon!

Just home from a three night stay at the ferrycarrig, check in was seamless and we got a nice room on the 5th adult only floor . View was spectacular and we had french doors that we could open fully and enjoy the sunshine. Room was spotless and it had a lovely big bathroom and walk in shower, only slight negative comment would be the paint work and wallpaper was tatty in areas . Food in the restaurant was first class over the 3 nights we ate there and the staff were very attentive and polite the menus didn’t change much during our stay and a little more variety would be nice. Reception staff extremely helpful and courteous and willing to help with any queries. Overall a lovely hotel and staff we will definitely return.
