We stayed at Quamby whilst attending the Port Fairy folk festival for the Labour day long weekend. It was a very relaxing and peaceful respite, waking to the sound of the birds each morning , followed by a delicious full breakfast, included in the price . We stayed in one of the Mews rooms, which was modern and very comfortable...

We were only staying for one night and really wish we had stayed longer, we were in the Old School House so we were a bit away from the other rooms. It was nice just being in the silence of the countryside, also imagining the silence that would have been when the buildings were originally built some 150 is years...

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in the School House which has lovely views overlooking the dam and surrounding paddocks. The 2km parameter walk starting in the gardens and then past the dams and paddocks is very popular with all our guests, often wallabies can be seen by the top dam! We have plans in the near...

A beautiful homestead - the gardens at the start of summer was amazingly beautiful. We stayed at the carriage house and it was very well equipped. The owners are very friendly , gave us nice breakfast everyday. Excellent place to unwind and relax walking around the gardens is a must. Recommended for a weekend getaway - anything longer gets a...

Thank you for your review of your stay at Quamby Homestead and that you enjoyed the gardens surrounding the homestead with all the roses in their full colour at the start of summer. We hope we offer a different experience to a “city break” in a rural location (countryside/ bush) only 25 minutes from Warrnambool/ Port Fairy and close to...

We visited Quamby on our way back to Sydney. What a beautiful home where we were warmly welcomed by William and Ailsa. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the gardens were beautiful and so peaceful! Could have stayed a lot longer. We will definitely be back when we next return to Australia!

We visited Quamby as part of our trip down the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide.Although it was a little off the main route, it was certainly worth driving the extra few kilometres. The Homestead is beautiful and is being gradually restored by the owners, William and Ailsa. The accommodation is separate from the Homestead and has all been renovated to...

Stayed here with friends after a day spent touring the Great Ocean Road. What a find. We arrived quite late but were still given such a warm welcome. The owners are clearly passionate about their home and love sharing it with their guests. Wish we had taken note of the fact that light evening meals can be provided as we...

We are so pleased that you enjoyed the warm welcome after a long day on the Great Ocean Road. Hopefully on your next visit you will have more time to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the homestead and gardens (November / December best time for the roses!). Quamby Homestead was a stopover for us on our trip from Echuca to the Great Ocean Road. We stayed in Mews room one which was 3.5 star quality and very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed chatting to William about his past in England and how they came to buy Quamby Homestead. Ailsa was also a pleasure to talk to at...

Quamby is a beautiful colonial homestead, which is being lovingly restored by its owners. There is nothing old fashioned about the bedrooms which have been comfortably furnished, clean and with a good en suite. Best of all was the welcome we received. We were encouraged to walk around the grounds and explore the gardens, the roses were all in bloom...

Thank you for having the time to write a review on your stay at Quamby Homestead. This inn is a real find. My then-fiance (now husband) did all the planning for our trip, and when he told me about this place I was a little skeptical. All our other stops were on the coast or in major cities, and this was a bit further off the beaten path. But my tune changed as soon as we...

Quamby Homestead, located just 25mins from Warrnambool and Port Fairy, is an idyllic stopover between the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians and en route to Adelaide. This historic (built in 1888) 4 Star homestead offers the opportunity to soak up some history whilst enjoying fine accommodation in the serenity of a 3-acre garden setting. Guest rooms are set within the botanic gardens, separate from the Homestead and all with private entrances.
