Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Plaza de Toros was excellent. Clean.Safe. Quiet. Non smoking. Elevator. Responsive staff. Very comfortable bed. On a pedestrian only street between the Bullring and the Bridge. Excellent restaurant across the street, Don Javier. The views in Ronda are spectacular. Photos cannot do it justice.

And that’s not a slur on Hostels but overall that’s what this accommodation reminded us of It’s basic and cramped and unlike a hostel I didn’t sleep well at all and I can usually sleep on a chicken’s lip I’m on five foot so the bed size wasn’t an issue for me but the pillows were poor quality and the bed was hard - like previous comments the noise from the walk way outside was loud but not because of customers - the staff were banging and speaking loudly plus they decided to hose down the whole area with water in the early hours - There are no dedicated staff at the hotel checking you in or out really- it was the staff from the restaurant across the way - they weren’t the friendliest but I can cope with grumpy Overall we wouldn’t stay here again as you can do Ronda in a day then leave - but the only plus side is how near the hotel is to the gorge and bulk ring Don’t waste your hard earned cash on this hotel, only you will get frustrated as they appear to don’t give a damn

Would never stay at this hotel again. Small single beds, easy to tip over. Headboard was metal and not attached. Bedside lamp was flickering off and on. Beds and pillows were horrible. Window looked straight into a restaurant which was luckily not open. Would not want to open drapes. Concerned about a fire hazard as windows were also barred. Needed to check out at 7 a.m. and no one was at the desk. Left the card keys on the desk as we had to catch a train. (Room card keys were numbered so you could easily use them to get into a room, not that anyone would want to go in there). Big hole in hair dryer. Glad we stayed only one night.

I would not stay here again. I made the reservation through Booking.com and there was supposed to be a terrace - there was no terrace. Wifi did initially not work in the room but only in the lobby. A reset fixed it though. AC in the room did neither cool or blow. A lot of noise from the street outside and the door facing the street to the tiny balcony that was so small that You barely stand on it did not close properly. One tap rook a lot of force to move.

We had booked a room at the Hotel Don Javier, but because work was been done to some of the rooms they moved us to the hotel Plaza de Toros, just across the pedestrian street. We spent the next two nights in a clean room with a lovely traditional feel and view of the valley by the bridge. Absolute bonus. Great shower and air condition. Free WiFi. Spanish breakfast included in the price of the room (eaten in the partner café). All staff were very friendly. Such a great location for exploring the rest of the town. 10 mins walk from the train station. Highly recommend the hotel.

I spent two weeks in Spain and this was by far my worst hotel. While it is in a great location, that comes with constant noise from the restaurants below. I asked to be moved to a quieter room and the super-rude woman at the desk said there wasn't one, although I barely saw another guest. So if you HAVE to stay here, ask for a room at the back. I am also about 5'9" and I was 2" shy of touching both walls at the same time, so if you are claustrophobic, keep looking for a better hotel. My bed was cozy and it was clean but the shower was also so small, your butt hung out the curtain if you had to shave your legs or bend over. Had there been a door instead of a curtain, you'd have hairy legs forever. The ONLY GOOD thing I can say about this hotel is the little cafeteria next door. The young girl there was the only smiling face in the establishment and she mades a yummy breakfast with warm croissants, eggs, etc. But the following morning I was shuffled off to their sister hotel across the street for breakfast where I was greeted ( or not) with a rude man, crappy juice and cold, stale everything (even the stares). So as far as location goes, that's a tough thing to measure... good and bad. Overall, this place is a stinker. A smiling face would have made this review a bit better. (OH, the room had a mini fridge but if you have luggage you won't be able to open the fridge door. Seriously)

While my room was extremely small, it was an excellent price for such a fantastic, central location (and it included breakfast!). The staff were all extremely friendly and everything was very clean. With most accommodations in Ronda being very expensive, this was a jem! I would stay here again.

About a block walk to the famous bridge. Room was very small. It did not have a balcony with a mountain view as so stated in my booking. Single bed. No room to do my daily pushups. Breakfast was across the narrow street (which is outside dining during the day and evening) in the ground floor of another hotel apparently under the same ownership Breakfast was good.

This hotel is definitely one of the best ones I have stayed lately. Well located you can reach all the main points of Ihre on foot. The decoration is something we have to talk about. Charming old furniture extremely well cared and clean! The wood schein and so dies the golden handles. We had a room with magnificent view! Calm silent. I do advice to ask for a room facing the backyard. The rooms facing the street might be to loud during the summer. I definitely recommend this small but charming hotel!
