Booked last minute for a spontaneous weekend away to check out Jenolan Caves. This is a great find in a quiet street, with beautiful charming rooms at a reasonable price. Everything was included and host David was very helpful and accomodating. Breakfast was great but most importantly - stay for dinner at the restaurant. You will not be disappointed, with... More

Most people stop at Medlow Bath to admire the Art Deco supremo, the Hydro Majestic hotel. But travel a little further off the main highway just across the railway and down a suburban street to the Chalet Guesthouse and Studio and you will truly be rewarded for your efforts. Its a magical house for all the right reasons, it feels... More

Hotel was in a quiet peaceful area, clean tidy and the proprietors were very helpful and willing to assist in your travel arrangements/choice of attractions and also recommended places to visit. The hotel was not far from the main road but far enough away to have a restful sleep.

Unassuming looking building from outside. Warm, welcoming, friendly, clean & interesting on the inside. Staff friendly & helpful. Had dinner which we ate every morsel of. Delicious. Room was clean, warm, & interesting. Buffet breakfast had lots of choice. No complaints, had a lovely night away. Highly recommend this guest house.

We stayed here for 2 nights during the Leura Garden Festival. The guesthouse is all on one level and the walls are crowded with original artwork, from many local artists. [One of the owners is an artist as well]. We had one of the larger rooms, so we had two lounge chairs to sit on. There was no TV in... More

I stayed here midweek. The Chalet epitomizes for me the definition of the perfect Blue Mountains guesthouse. Set in a quiet but convenient location, it is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The owners have gone to a lot of trouble to create a feeling of yester year with each guest room having a different feel. The owners are... More

My partner and I just spent three midweek days staying here and we loved the peaceful environment, the fascinating collection of artwork and all sorts of interesting things decorating their place. Our room was spotlessly clean and the whole place seems to a place I could easily spend more time in. Next time I'd like to do a weekend so... More

We had a very relaxing weekend away from Sydney. The hosts were very welcoming and you can tell they take great care in the property while looking after their guests. It has a certain charm which embodies the Blue Mountains area and I would love to stay again.

Hello, Thank you for your kind words. I particularly like your comment that the Chalet "embodies the Blue Mountains area" as I think you are referring to something we also love about the Blue Mountains. There is a sense of romantic nostalgia around here that I will never tire of. I am very glad to hear you enjoyed your stay... More

We stayed for 2 nights at this lovely guesthouse and were very impressed and would certainly return and recommend to friends. Our hosts - the two David's - were very welcoming and helpful and our room was very comfortable and lacked nothing. The evening menu selection was great and the food itself delicious. Breakfast was continental, and for an additional... More
