We booked Knockaloe Beg for an annual reunion of 4 couples, 1 of whom resides on the island and made the booking for us. The accommodation is charming and also highly practical: large rooms; good bathrooms with plentiful hot water and amenities; great living space, with a large guest lounge/dining room; amazingly thoughtful amenities including sherry and flapjack in the...

Me and a few friends stayed in the "Yurt" on Monday evening! Wow what a experience! We had an amazing evening. The Yurt would be for the clean Camper! A camping experience for those who don't like sleeping on the floor! Who want the best of both worlds! But they are great! It's a must! The Yurt we stayed in...

This review has made my day! I am so pleased you are a 'Knockaloe Beg Fan'!! The Yurt is our newest venture and will be even better next year with electric fairy lights, small cooker and fridge and a wooden platform in case it rains! Still set in the middle of the Farm though with the odd visiting cat... Come...

We were invited to join our friends on a short break to the Isle of Man. None of us had visited the island before and knew very little about it so thought it would be interesting to find out what we'd been missing. Sam had done some research on the Internet and found Knockaloe Beg Farm, liked the idea of...

Had a brilliant afternoon at this place with my daughter and grandson. Farmer John takes you around the farm in the trailer, stopping at each pen and telling you all about the animals and rare breed pigs/piglets etc. You can get off the trailer and go into some of the pens too. There is a barn with animals in that...

I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay, we enjoyed having you here. Good timing arriving at the same time as all our new arrivals - sorry I had to abandon the breakfast table one day!! I and my friend stayed in Knockaloe beg farm for three days. Our stay was wonderful. Fiona and her husband who owned the place were friendly and helpful. Free port wine and cheese was given after dinner which made our stay special. Breakfast was included in the price and was all worth it.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Knockaloe Beg Farm was rebuilt in 2007 as a modern, energy efficient building with a traditional feel. It has 5 en-suite double or twin bedrooms and a lovely private guest lounge with wood burning stove. It is part of our working farm where we milk 200 cows and breed from 800 ewes so lambing time is very busy and exciting! Our bedrooms all have really comfy, super king sized, zip and link beds with goose down duvets and large showers or baths. Breakfasts have gained a 'Breakfast Award' for being high quality as well as local, homemade, fairtrade or organic. We pride ourselves on our environmental awareness. The house is up a private farm lane so is very quiet with stunning views across open countryside and only a 20 minute walk to the sea. ... more   less
