Approaching building.....spectacular, grand, historic, imposing. At building...very historic ambience but in need of tlc, wooden frames of windows have seen much.....and are now passed a paint job. Interior historic and full of beautiful furniture and accoutrements, some with "don't touch" notices, for the house is open as a museum. Bedroom, spacious, beautifully appointed, comfortable bed.....although with short legs I could have...

One of those places always to remember. Beautiful trip into history. Wonderful castle, great style, grace and good taste. All this in the midst of green meadows with huge trees and friendly cows. It couldn't be more French. The land lord and lady are very kind and hospital.

We knew we would be stopping in a chateau in the middle of the countryside. Pulling into the driveway we saw a grand old building in the stately home style, definitely not a castle. Be aware that there is nothing in Grand-Rullecourt in terms of shops. The nearest village has one restaurant and a few shops including a Carrefour and...

A wonderful location for such a beautiful house. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful and provided us with a tour of their beautifully decorated house. I would definitely recommend this location and hosts to anyone looking to enjoy a special weekend or longer stay in France.

This is a true French château with a genuine French aristocratic family to host you (although not a long history with the house). So peaceful in the middle of the countryside. We were visiting the war graves of the Somme and this is very central. These places must be an absolute labour of love. Maintenance was not bad - but...

It is a delight, go and stay there. We were married the day before and we loved every minute. Don't expect a chain Hotels services but what it looses it makes up for in buckets with the welcome, the atmosphere and the room. It was like being in the 18th century but more comfortable. It is very rural and you...

We stayed for 4 nights and we loved it, our room was lovely and huge with a side room and ensuite. It's a wondefull building with an an amazing history and you will be given a tour of the place. The locations good for lots of ww1 sites and arras and amies. The whole place feels a bit tumbledownish it's...

We stayed here for a long weekend and loved the house. The proprieters were very kind and took the time to give us a tour of their estate and made a number of good suggestions for our trip. If you have time I would really recommend asking Patrice or Chantal for a tour around their property. There was so much...

I will preamble this with saying that our french is pretty poor. The hosts were very patient with our lack of french vocabulary though! The property is incredible, the room was HUGE, the surroundings are beautiful and quaint. We found the owners very charming, and loved the tour we got of the castle in the morning. What an incredible amount...

We stayed for one night with 3 little kids and the start was not great- we had a long drive, the kids were tired and our little one was car sick just 2 minutes before we arrived. But we were welcomed so warmly and Patrice even helped me to clean the car seat in the middle of the nigh, a...
