What a beautiful and charming hotel! Annette, Paul, and her family show pride of place with this beautiful location, brimming with old world charm and yet modern comfort and conveniences. Our rooms were large and well appointed, immaculately clean with a huge soaking tub and oversized, separate shower in each bathroom (we booked 2 rooms - one for us and one for our older teens). Water pressure was amazing and the ability to open the windows in our room and allow the cool, delicious Irish breeze to drift in from the field behind this hotel into the sitting area in our room was such a treat. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Annette and our bags were taken by Jack, Annette and Paul's son, to our rooms. The view from the front of Loch Lein was absolutely breathtaking and our hosts were kind enough to seat us for our first breakfast right next to the large, beautiful windows in the dining room. And they served us such tasty food, sourced from local vendors, so everything was unbelievably fresh. Our dining experiences were memorable, with white linen table cloths, fine (and yet warm and friendly) service from the wait staff (which included Paul himself), strong Irish breakfast tea served in delicate tea cups with accompanying saucers and gloriously dainty teaspoons, amazing Hake that tasted like it had been pulled from the lake just a few hours prior, and mornings with full Irish breakfasts and waffles that were unmatched during our entire 12-day tour of southern and western Ireland. Here, every one of us was treated both like royalty and like family simultaneously. We felt very welcomed and would return in a heartbeat, when given a chance to visit Killarney again from the US in the future. Thanks so much to our gracious hosts for such a lovely experience!

A truly exceptional experience.

We are seasoned travellers and users of hotels and, without exception, every element of our stay was perfection.

Paul and Annette welcomed us warmly, the bedroom was spacious and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean. Fresh flowers and crisp white linen in the bedroom and dining room added to the high levels of care and comfort.

The food was excellent and the ambience friendly with nothing being too much trouble.

The location just outside Killarney is gorgeous with far reaching views across the lake.

Highly recommended.

If we return to Killarney, Paul and Annette will be our chosen hosts.

Thank you.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Loch Lein Country House near Killarney. The room was large with a sitting area, two comfortable queen beds, and a beautiful view (see below). The bathroom had a bathtub and a separate shower. The entire house was clean, airy, and nicely furnished. The grounds were lovely and well maintained. We enjoyed happy hour in the garden. The dining room had windows around the entire eating area with views of the Loch and the grounds. Annette and Paul and their sons, the owners and our hosts, were extremely friendly and helpful. I dripped some red wine on my pants and Annette offered to wash them for me. The stay included breakfast of delicious freshly made hot foods and a cold food buffet. Guests can also make reservations to have dinner at the guest house, and they have a small, but well-equipped bar (separate fees). The food was excellent. The "bartender" provided recommendations for local Irish whiskeys, which my husband appreciated. The prices for food and drink were reasonable and similar to the prices at restaurants in Killarney (less expensive than what we would pay for similar cuisine in the US). The Loch Lein Country house was my favorite place to stay during our 10-day trip in southern Ireland.

We stayed for 5 nights and from the minute we arrived until the minute we left we had the personal services of the best hosts we have ever met , Paul and Annette you are both incredible xx. On arrival to this beautiful hotel in a spectacular location we received a very warm welcome and we were told that anything we needed at any time would not be a problem and they really meant it. The interior and exterior are beautiful. The lounge and dining rooms have spectacular views over the lovely garden, Loch Lein and the McGilliecuddie Reeks. The furnishings throughout comfortable and so relaxing. Our room was incredible, very clean (as was everywhere), very spacious, amazing views, comfortable settee and armchairs along with with comfortable beds and bathroom with separate shower and bath. The breakfasts were amazing and guests were encouraged to relax over breakfast before setting off for the day ahead. Paul’s knowledge of Ireland is amazing and he ensured that no one left without some tips on places to visit the were not in tourist guides etc. On returning after a long day we were met by either Paul or Annette with a welcome you would receive from family asking about our day and offering whatever refreshments we required. The evening meals were delicious and so well presented . We would recommend Loch Lein to anyone wanting to spend time in a very special place with some very special people and would definitely return.

What a pleasure to find accommodation that is just 100% perfect in every aspect! Big & spacious lovely rooms with new fittings & soft furnishings, felt like we were the first people to ever stay there, entire inside & outside is just spotless. A true gem of a hotel. The restaurant's meals were of very high quality and a good selection. There is just nothing negative about it, they tick all the boxes. We'll definitely be back when we visit Ireland again.

From the minute we walked in the door Annette, Paul and the rest of the staff were very attentive to our needs, we couldn't have asked for better. There was a good selection on the breakfast menu and the evening meal we had was very tasty. I was on holiday with my mum and we had a lovely family room at the front of the hotel with a view of the Loch and it was so peaceful we slept well every night. The location of the hotel is perfect for travelling round the Ring of Kerry and surrounding areas if you'd rather be out of the bustle of Killarney which is only 10 minutes down the road. It was a perfect stay for us and would highly recommend Loch Lein Country Hotel to anyone.

During the summer I had the pleasure of staying at this charming country house hotel only a couple of minutes drive from Killarney. Nestled beside a stunning, picturesque lake, the location alone is worth the visit. The views were absolutely breathtaking, with the tranquil water reflecting the surrounding Kerry mountains and lush greenery.

The hotel itself combines traditional elegance with modern comfort. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Annette and Paul made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with large windows that allowed us to wake up to the beauty of the lake each morning.

Dining at the hotel was another highlight—delicious, locally-sourced meats and fresh fish in a comfortable yet refined setting. After dinner, we enjoyed relaxing in the front garden with Jack’s (the barman) signature cocktails, taking in the serene atmosphere. Breakfast in the mornings was truly something to look forward to.

Whether you're looking to unwind or explore the nearby natural wonders of Killarney National Park, this country house hotel is the perfect retreat. I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway with spectacular views.

We only stayed for one night but when we checked in and saw our room we wish we had booked for a longer stay. A beautiful place overlooking the lake. All the rooms were first class and the host was very friendly and accommodating.
We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We just returned from the beautiful and welcoming country of Ireland after a 3 week stay. During this countrywide trip, we stayed in a number of upscale and highly rated hotels. While the accommodations were all very good indeed, one place stood out, that was the Loch Lien Country House just outside Killarney.
The accommodations we were assigned had a marvelous view of the nearby lake and pastoral countryside. Additionally, the room was very large, with high ceilings, plenty of light, a large bathroom, comfortable high-back chairs and a quality bed.
Likewise, the country house's reception area, hallways and restaurant were decorated tastefully and had fresh flowers daily. The food in the restaurant, was all local and much of it was produced on site. We had two dinners and two breakfasts at Loch Lien, both of which were gourmet quality.
While the room accommodations and food were first class, the hosts and owners, Annette & Paul Corridan, made the stay even more special. Their warmth, humor, knowledge of the area and professionalism was quite unique and very welcoming.
We have traveled in many great countries around the world in the past 40 years, and stayed in many world-class accommodations, but the Loch Lien Country House stands out as one of the world's finest lodgings!!
Many thanks to Paul and Annette and the staff - you made our trip memorable.

This little hotel is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometres) from the town of Killarney. It would be possible to walk into the town if you were feeling energetic! There is ample parking facilities at the hotel itself. As well as this, there are various car parks in the town of Killarney - if you decided to drive from the hotel to the town! If you decide to stay at this little hotel you will certainly enjoy it and the surroundings. Your views will include green grass, lake view and mountains!
