We took advantage of the Sunday night deal which included Dinner, Bed and breakfast and a bottle of wine. We stayed in one of the rooms off the car park and it was perfect with a great bathroom. We had been to Wincanton Races beforehand and as the kitchen closes at 6pm on a Sunday we pre-ordered our meals as...

We are a family of 3, our son being 2.5 years old. We were really looking forward to our stay- we'd travelled from Cheshire and we here for one night for a christening in Glastonbury. We arrived at the pub and first impressions were pleasant enough, although not amazing. Lady behind the bar was really friendly and showed us to...

And so for my first ever review... We came here for a few days and what a time we had. All the staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful, making our stay a wonderful experience. We stayed in the cottage, a short walk from the inn, horses in the field opposite and a constant variety of small birds, visiting the...

We stayed for one night and were impressed with the friendly atmosphere and really good food. We had a room in the mews which was cosy and comfortable and had a newly refurbished smart bathroom. This is at the heart of the Paul Nicholls racing community and there is a definite National Hunt horse racing atmosphere. We were there for...

Stayed a single night at the Manor House Inn. Easy to find, with a good number of parking spaces. Check inn was easy, and I was off to my room / junior suite. The rooms, consisting of lounge area with sofa and day bed, with TV, and a bedroom with comfortable double bed, hot drink facilities, and an ironing board...

We called in for supper one evening recently. We were pleased with the food, it was all cooked well. The scallops were a little odd in their curried sauce, I think I would have preferred a more traditional citrus flavour. The short rib of beef was very well cooked and I enjoyed the sweet potato mash and the burger was...

We met some friends here for lunch, very good food at a sensible price. Decent wine at under £20 a bottle. The staff were attentive and happy for us to have a long lunch as they were open all afternoon. If your into horse racing then this is a must as Paul Nicholls yard is across the road so loads...

Stayed overnight on our way to North Devon. Our room was clean and recently decorated with a horsey theme that reflected the area, Wincanton race course and Paul Nichols stables are both nearby. The room we stayed in would be a little small if you were planning on staying longer but sufficient for us. Good food and service in the...

Stayed overnight before the racing at Wincanton. The rooms were spotless and we were given a lovely welcome by all the staff. A regular haunt by the locals we really felt part of the crowd. The food was excellent and the wines extremely good value. Happily stay there again.

We booked this for Valentines Day and felt we had made a good choice. Instead of the normal fixed price menu for these occasions, there was a complimentary oyster and glass of prosecco followed by an interesting choice of 3 courses individually priced. We chose the sharing seafood board which included white crab meat, shell on prawns, a scrumptious smoked...
