I will recomend this place, but not to everyone... it is very rustic, and it doesnt have luxuries at all, I really like that for disconnect and reading and havieng a great rest.... Its a little bit overpriced but if you compare with the similar places on the area the price is ok, pay with colombian money since they give...

4 women stayed there in Jan. and we all enjoyed it. The food was fresh and good, juice awesome, alcohol expensive, beds with mosquito netting good, VERY private natural beach. Very hot. The huts smell a little musty, but that's anywhere without ac in the tropics. We would all go back there, but know what you are getting in to!...

Honestly, I'm shocked by all the bad reviews of Playa Koralia since we had such a wonderful time. I mean, Brits complaining about the food? Really? Yeah, paying for your stay is a bit odd since they really only take cash and sort of paypal, but beyond that, it was great. First things first, this is not a place to...

Playa koralia is not for everyone. If you are squemish about nature and insects and want AC and hot water get a hotel room. Read no further. Playa Koralia is the most naturally beautiful, tranquil and romantic resort we have stayed at. I went here with my wife as part of our 10th anniversary cellebration, leaving our 5year old witrh...

I agree with most of the negative reviews. The owners are from Bogota, they think to be hippies, though they just care about the money. The guy, as soon as we arrived he wanted us to pay our full stay. First bad impression. They under pay their staff and its way too expensive for what they offer. I'm keen to...

I would have loved this place..when in was 22 in 1995! Not now that we are forunate enough to afford $300 a night places. And it obviously has not been refurbed since 1995 either. Our 'suite' overlooked the campsite - great if you want to look at young travellers getting dressed and showering in the communal block - not if...

Hola milandmouse :) Starting in March 2010, we embarked on a major renewal of Playa Koralia. Many of your issues have been addressed. We now have a new more exciting menues with a more elegant dining atmosphere, renovated rooms, a new spa, reception upgrades, etc ... And many of the simple things as well - new towels, mosquito nets, curtains,...

We're so sorry that Koralia was incompatible with your needs. Though I am a bit confused as to why you stayed 5 days then? You could have checked out early and then had the rest of your time to go someplace more your style. Next time :)

This was by far the most expensive place that my wife and I stayed during our time in Colombia. The discussion about Koralia then will always revolve around this single element: Is it worth the extra cost to stay at Playa Koralia? First, the resort's sensibilities revolve around a sort of eco-consciousness (I say "sort of" b/c I wouldnt claim...

After having read the previous reviews on this website I do agree on some points. If your expecting 5 star luxury with airco and outstanding service don't go here. Calling it a boutique hotel is maybe not the right description; I liked the highend safari-lodge decription better But if your in for some total relaxation far away from everything and...

This past February I visited Colombia and spent a week at Koralia. I was traveling with friends and also met some new friends while I was there. In a nutshell, I had a super fun time; I absolutely loved everything about Koralia and cannot wait to go back! Next time I go I would like to spend more time...perhaps three...
