Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a wonderful caravan park on the edge of the hustle and bustle. Lots of spacious grassy camping sites, a pool and overall just a generally good vibe. We really enjoyed our stay here, the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The location is a short 5 min drive into the Main Street and close to everything you might need. It was quiet, clean and well appointed amenities with a nice environment. Would highly recommend this park and will definitely stay again in future.

Very clean cabin and well maintained grounds. Reception lady was friendly. Only issue was no wifi. We had 2 teenagers and husband had to do some business. We hot spotted off phones but could be a issue for some reason. Other than that a enjoyable stay.

Stayed here over the festive season. The prices were very reasonable for the peak period. Stayed in a one bedroom spa cabin. The cabin was clean and neat upon our arrival with plentiful towels, linen, pillows and spare blankets. There was a comfortable couch and dining table to relax at during the evenings. There are two chairs on the porch, with a nice view of trees, greenery and a delightful flock of local birds in the morning. Inside the kitchen, all the basic resources you may need such as wipes, soap and cutlery. I enjoyed my stay at this park. I have stayed at other parks in Mudgee but found this one to be very quiet and laid-back. I would recommend staying here, you’ll find it to be pleasant and relaxing.

Room Tip: Each cabin had a parking space. Easy drive into town for a range of shops and restaurants.

We booked a 2 bedroom cabin and it had everything we needed including a full kitchen and utensils. The beds were comfortable and the electric blankets were a nice touch. The shower was really nice but did lose heat on occasion and the toilet was very cramped. The pool was really nice as was the playground. The games room was a lot of fun with something for every one. The laundry facilities were reliable and easy to use. The only downside were pesky magpies swooping at us but that's to be expected this time of year. There was no WiFi which is also a negative.

Staff were great, water was hot, toilets were clean. Camp kitchen very basic. Games room is now storage. Laundry facilities didn't work. More potholes than road. Sites boggy and very poor drainage if any. Right next to highway so very noisy.

We booked a powered site for our van. Was a bit hard to unhook our van as the miners cars are parked on the road even though there is room beside their cabins. If we had been told this was a construction site we would have kept going. The workers on site, with their noisy machines started about 7-30 am and went all day, putting in drains and such for the new cabins that are to arrive soon. We were not offered a reduction in tariff for the inconvenience. The truck driver topping up the gas cylinder drove in at about 5 times the speed limit, leaving a lot of dust. The roads in the park are potholed, and there is no lights at night time. Just keep driving past!!

The only things that stopped me from walking out of this dated, tired & poorly maintained cabin was the wet weather. The sheets & towels were clean, the doona cover was grubby. Cheap packets of coffee/ tea & bathroom items. Bathroom window was riveted closed. TV was a tiny, cheap item. And this cost me $149 !!! Total rip off, as highway noise & permanent workers arriving late leaving early from their cabins interrupted my sleep. I've stayed in numerous CV Parks around OZ & this was one of the most pricey & jaded of all. Time to update your facilities asap.

The cabin was tiny, dirty and needs an upgrade . The beds are uncomfortable, the tiny flies and small spiders are in every corner of the walls, AND we got a jumping toad in the cabin. Never again. No thanks.

Clean all round and nice game room. Expensive for what you get and impossible to sleep after 5:30am due to constant loud traffic of cars and trucks. Wouldn't recommend. Visited 10 years ago bcs all full and found average. Again all else full and stayed, but will not repeat. Just not for us.

Mudgee is a busy country town and accommodation rates range from reasonable to ridiculously expensive. We chose a cabin at Mudgee Valley Park on the recommendation of a friend. The cabin was okay but was showing signs of wear. The park itself could also do with some maintenance. It is situated on the outskirts of the town, about 2 kms from the town centre.
