Posada de San Jose is a real gem. The location is amazing - right in the heart of old Cuenca and all it has to offer. The rooms are beautifully adorned and the entire hotel speaks of artistic taste and attention to detail. And the food... best breakfasts ever! For English speakers, the waiter has good English skills and there...

The hotel is situated in a 17th century building which was originally the accommodation for the cathedral choir boys. As such it has the most delightful atmosphere. The location is some 100 metres from the cathedral in the middle of Cuenca. There is 24 hour parking about 100 metres away costing €15 with a hotel voucher. Room 21 had old...

My wife and I spent one night in this charming small hotel. The room was quite small, but very quaint and adequately appointed. It had a glorious view across the gorge. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent as was the service. Cuenca is a charming city and the old part well worth a visit.

I booked a Double Room with a mountain view excluding breakfast for 2 nights, using Booking.com We arrived at Cuenca Fernando Zobel train station, which is about 5kms out of town. Due to an hour wait for the bus, we used a taxi to get to the Posada. The bus and taxi rank is to the side of the railway...

Great location and AMAZING view. From reading other reviews, we requested room 33. We actually got room 32 and the view was INCREDIBLE! Bought tears to my eyes. The building itself is an old monastery and so very charming. Overall a basic, simple room with small bathroom. Hot water was hit and miss but manageable. Wifi was great in the...

Posada de San Jose is right in the center of medieval Cuenca. Our balcony looked over the side of the gorge, beautiful view. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. The only negative is that our room was small but we understood this is an historic place. I felt lucky to be a guest.

Some rooms are nicer than other , depending on price, but they are all prerfectly neat. Restaurant has an astonishing, wonderful view and food was great. We did not have dinner ther, that was a mistake. We arrived late, but we...
