Great hotel in a stunning location which is still somewhat undiscovered by the British. Situated on the sea front, this affordable gem offers a modest spa, plentiful buffet, cheap drinks and free parking. The parking is very sought after, so you may find yourself waiting a while for a car to pull out - patience will see you right here. Once parked, try to avoid moving your car until you leave. This is right in front of the hotel, and there are plenty of avenues for you to try. The staff offer great service, speak English, and will help with any questions you have. I recommend requesting a room with a view, probably on the front of the hotel which offers a slightly better view than the back. The room has a safe, you need to pay a deposit for the key at reception. We had a small balcony which we sat on frequently at night, beautiful views. The spa is on the bottom floor beneath reception. It is nice and quiet, with a small pool, saunas and lockers. Just take flip flops and a robe. The buffet changes each night, there is always a lot to choose from. We found the food a tiny bit bland, but it did the job for the cost. Beach is within walking distance and there are lots of little shops nearby should you wish to buy a can or two (Roses is incredibly cheap - nearby bar served 2 big sangrias for 6 euros!) I recommend walking along the promenade down to the town, this hotel is the opposite end of the strip to the town, but it's a nice walk. The town is quiet, friendly, and has lots of restaurants and shops - go there! Also nearby is the small harbour, walk along the harbour wall, it's lovely. I recommend watching the moon rise over the sea from one of the many beach bars.

We stayed at the Victoria as a base for a Shearings Holiday called "The little ships of the Med.The room was ok with balcony and side view of the beach and sea. The fitted furniture was a bit scratched and there was not enough draw space. The TV only had the BBC world news in English. The meals were very regimented Each party had an allowcated area to sit and a set time to eat .(not really the relaxed holiday feeling). Having said that the food was good and the fact we were given wine and water with the evening meal was great. There was live entertainment every night . The staff were polite and helpfull. Would we stay again. Definatly not with a coach party but might be better privately.

We stayed as part of a coach trip. The hotel inc rooms are kept very clean. Except for the bar waiters who were a little passive aggressive the staff we encountered were very pleasant & helpful. Our room over the reception entrance had a good size wardrobe with a safe large enough to hold a couple of tablets plus a DSLR camera, passports etc. ( €3 euro per night to rent a key. ) I found my bed to be comfortable. The wife less so. The beds were the same so the difference was personal preference. The extra pillow that my wife requested arrived promptly. One problem we had was keeping two tablets, one set EarPods plus a camera charged. The door key had to be in the electric slot to keep power to the socket. Meaning we stayed in the room in the evenings rather than visit the bar. The room had a balcony large enough to easily accommodate a table & two chairs. Our coach trip deal came with breakfast & evening meal. Plenty of choice but very little of it seamed to have any real taste. Even a dish labeled chilli did not really taste of chilli. On the plus side the dinning room staff were very nice. My wife & I did not use any of the Spa facilities. The hotel is on the promenade with access straight onto the beach. Our 4th floor was located above the entrance to reception. ( See room note. ) We had sun in the morning shade in the afternoon. The air-con was a little noisy so we turned it off & kept the balcony door open a smidgeon.

My family (Ages 19, 23, 54 58) visited this hotel from 25 August - 08 Sept 2019. This was our third visit and we noticed a number of positive changes. The hotel has been painted, industrial sized parasols have been erected in the grounds, clients are given blue armbands which restricts the number of non-clients just entering the hotel and using the pool and sun beds. In the restaurant, there has been more gluten-free food and labelling introduced which was great for us as my daughter has Coeliac Disease. The restaurant still has a wide range of Spanish and international food available on a buffet style and the staff in the restaurant work extremely hard to ensure that crockery is cleared away as soon as possible. I noticed that Vicki worked very quickly and was also clearly training & supporting the new, younger members of staff. The check in with Natalia was quick and easy, rooms were spotless and new items in the restaurant were most welcome. We used the indoor pool and sauna, (pool hats are compulsory at 5 euros per person) and they were relaxing and spotless too. The manger was always in the restaurant every day, welcoming us and asking about our experience of the hotel. The hotel grounds open straight onto the beach and as a person with mobility issues this was perfect for me. Hire of a sunbed & parasol was 10 euros per day. Staff here are very good, but my one criticism is that in the bar, one particular member of staff seemed to not notice us every time we wanted to order a drink. We went on a boat trip to Cadaques which is very pretty and the link with Dali brings lots of visitors. This cost 18 euros per person and the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the harbour. The promenade is very flat and you can walk from the hotel into Roses town centre in 25-30 minutes or use the bus available outside the hotel for €1.65. We also did another trip by bus into Figueres to visit the Dali museum and would recommend a visit but also to pre- book a ticket so as to avoid queues. Overall, this hotel always makes me feel welcome, the grounds are open and accessible, the staff give 110% attention and the resort is open and expansive. I would really recommend it it you want a relaxing holiday, with interesting places to visit, easy access to the beach and beautiful views. I will be booking for 2020 Try it, you will not be disappointed

Not a bad hotel, straight on the beach, extremely clean ! All rooms have a large balcony, Very friendly staff, great breakfast buffet. But ! Why opening the restaurant for 2 hours Only??? Breakfast 8 am 10 am, dinner 7.30 to 9.30 pm ?!?! Don’t bother for dinner buffet or at least once to see that it’s not the best, but u have some decent choices. Also, there’s no electric plug in the room! Except in the bathroom or if u unplug the television.... weird. u cannot switch off the balcony light... mattress was amazing, the room itself was not super big, but who cares when u spend all day at the beach and use the room to sleep only And guess what? I will go back :)
