Travellers' Choice
Hotel Carmen is a tribute to Carmen & Josep, who first started welcoming travellers in their humble home in the early 1950's. The three historic buildings that make up the property have been recently refurbished into a contemporary mediterranean design hotel. The house is located in the center of town among locals and their daily lives, and just 50m from the beach and Roses' magnificent sunset promenade. Room types range from large rooms with balconies and terrasses, to more affordable smaller ones with windows. All rooms are very comfortable with ergonomic mattresses & pillows, soundproof sleeping, WiFi, AC, satelite TV, safe, minibar, Algotherm amenities and a hairdryer in the bathroom. All rounded up with one of the best breakfasts in the region with plenty of local products and freshly made Lavazza coffee. For travellers arriving by car a garage is available. The house is up to date on all Covid-19 related protocols.

This is one of the easiest reviews I've written in a long time Everything is perfect, the room while not huge is big enough, extremely clean, a good sized bathroom and big shower The reception is nice, explaining the WiFi, breakfast details etc Breakfast very good indeed, everything you need is there Free parking is about 300 metres away next to the citadel, so dump your bags if your in a car and park after, the hotel doesn't have it's own parking as it's on a small street

Small room but perfect for us as we were out most of the time. Super comfy bed and pillows. Close to lots of delicious food and some good shopping. It's a couple of streets back from the beach but not the best beaches in Roses so we drove to some others. The breakfast is lovely and all the staff members we spoke to are really nice. Would definitely return. They may want to look into the products they put in the bathroom because the shampoo and conditioner have really messed up my hair.

We would definitely return to this hotel. The location was perfect, although our room was quite small the bed was very comfortable, very clean with daily maid service. The breakfast was very good value with plenty of choice.

Spotless clean, quiet, with all comfort I could wish for, very good service and treatment by all staff I came into contact with (about 7 people). Impressively good quality and variety of breakfast options. 50% discount coupons for practicing water sports. Very pleasant ambiance everywhere in the hotel, with all design or service details very well taken care of. Many TV channels, with very good signal. Placed ideally, veryclose to the beach, but in the second, quiet front, right at the start of the shopping and eating area of the town. I was sorry I could only spend 4 nights there, as the feeling was splendid.

This hotel is super cute, clean and well equipped. You definitely get a french, sophisticated vibe when entering. My mom and I had a room with balcony and sea view, which we very much enjoyed. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Everything was fresh and delicately presented. If I ever come back to Roses this will definitely be my number one choice of accomodation. Thanks Carmen for a great stay.
