This hotel is amazing. We have had the best 10 days. LOCATION The Alion is beachfront on the best beach in Cyprus. About 10-15 mins walk into the raucous centre of Ayia Napa. Perfect for our needs. We took a taxi a couple of times to some restaurants in Protaras and we also rented a VW Golf for 3 days (through Champion, €180 and parked it at the Alion for free) to tour the island. STYLE We were there during school term so the clientele was young and old, not families with school age kids. The mix was largely Russian, lots of Swiss, a few British and a few Greeks and Cypriots, maybe others too that we didn’t notice. Everyone was very cultured and polite but not very sociable, people keep themselves to themselves. Suited us fine. All in all, the hotel was relaxed and classy. ROOMS The sea view room was super special and a must. Land view rooms are a little cheaper but the sea view is well worth it. It’s gorgeous. You get a little balcony with a table and two chairs. BREAKFAST We loved the breakfast. So much choice and high quality. Our favourite was the freshly squeezed orange juice machine and we had a few glasses of this every day! The pancakes were special too. Wonderful service on the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. What a way to start the day - we’ll miss it! BEACH White powdery pristine sand with crystal blue sea. When the weather was still, the beach and sea were perfect. When the wind got up (for a day or two), the sea got a little wavey. We went to the Pool Bar most days for lunch - The fresh Tuna Salad at the Pool Bar was super delicious and meals there were reasonably priced. Also the Pool Bar brings drinks to your sun lounger on the beach when you press the buzzer - very good service! (Note: the sun loungers on the ACTUAL beach are run by the town and cost €2.50 per day. The hotel’s loungers are private and free and three rows back from the sea. We used the town’s on the first day and the hotel’s for the rest of our time). EVENING The Deck Restaurant was our favourite in the Ayia Napa with a gorgeous setting and superb food, wine and service. An amazing, classy restaurant and reasonably priced too. We went twice in 10 days. We also watched a couple of music acts, which were great. Special thanks to Panos at the Amethyst Bar Lambros at the Pool Bar for letting us store our Stand Up Paddleboards in the storage shed - much appreciated! George and his team at breakfast for forever remembering our morning cappuccino without us needing to ask! Vasilis at the Deck restaurant. Reception staff for their help and suggestions (we especially liked Spartiatis seafood restaurant a short taxi ride away - very special and not touristy!) Housekeeping for keeping the entire hotel spotless at all times For us the best thing about this hotel was the 5 star service all round but also the fact that it wasn’t too big or overwhelming like some of the other resorts which I think makes it stand out.

Many thanks to all reception staff! Friendly and polite, ready to help! Especially to Natasha - very professional approach. The breakfasts enjoyable. The cook in the beach bar - there is a way to improve. But the service in the beach bar is excellent - many thanks to Vanja! When stay in June tried massage in the Spa - Natasha and Afrodita did excellent job.

5 star isn’t enough for your service and atmosphere. We had romantic dinner for two and it was wander full, unforgettable evening for us. Especially thanks to manager Pearos, for excellent hospitality and for kindness. End of the day of our Cyprus trip we came back for dinner on “deck” and had one more pleasant dinner. That’s for everything and good luck

Stayed for 10 days at the Alion Beach in Ayia Napa. We booked this hotel thanks to a suggestion of our Swiss Travel Agent (yes in 2021 we still use a Travel Agency ). His suggestion was perfect as this hotel was more than expected. Ok is not a true 5 stars like the Intercontinental in London or a major 5 stars of a big chain but this hotel is for sure a 4 stars plus in my opinion. Another advantage is that this hotel is not a big one with 400 or 300 rooms but just 100 rooms that in Covid times is for sure a big plus. Location is top: on a WONDERFUL beach but only 15 minutes on foot from downtown Ayia Napa. The beach in front of the hotel is managed by the municipality but you pay only 7.50 EUR a day for the Umbrella and 2 sunbeds. If you want to stay in the garden the hotel provide you two sunbeds at a specific place for the duration of the stay: so no need to wake up at 7 am to find a place: you have it for the whole stay. Food was top: great breakfast buffet and also for the dinner- Every evening they change the theme (Greek, tex-mex, international, Italian, etc.) We booked a sea view room (strongly recommended as the sea is amazing in front of the hotel) and got an upgrade to a premium room (corner rooms). Thank you Alion for this upgrade! Room was ok also in size but furniture looked more like a 4 stars hotel. Excellent products in the bathroom. Swimming pool is a little bit small but with an amazing sea never used. Staff is everywhere in the hotel friendly and helpful in various languages. I would recommend this hotel for these reasons: location (on the beach!!), staff, food and size of the hotel. Sure again in Cyprus and sure again at the Alion Beach (maybe in 2023 I was thinking to come back!!).
