I'll start by saying this hostel is in a good location for the beach but this seems to be the only positive thing i have to say!!! They have so many rules that it really spoils the experience. I have been travelling around australia for 17 months now and have never came across these kind of rules. 1. Firstly there...

This is a lush hostel if you want a chilled friendly vibe. Don't be put off by all the rules on the walls. It's just to keep it quiet and chilled. Staff really friendly. The hostel is divided into apartments so it's really nice and social. In the evening everyone sits downstairs in the court yard and chats. Good shuttle...

if you're looking at being in the heart of Noosa and living the party life style, this is not the place for you. It's the perfect place to chill out, pretty far away from everything however. It's also not particularly sociable as the hostel don't put on any events. We didn't mind because until now we had been at nomads...

I stayed here because the place I wanted to go was booked. It turned out that this was a very relaxing place to go. The goon ban make it that there is no hard partying going on so if you are looking for that go somewhere else. The heavy Indian atmosphere in the decoration of the hostel create a very...

It's an OK place, but nothing special. However as there's a limited amount of available beds in Noosa, they are bound to be booked out. The receptionist girl (dauther of the parents, who own the hostel) was resistent for any feedback or improvement ideas and didn't understand the difference between a formal complaint and feedback to improve the overall customer...

The neiborhood is quiet and felt really safe. Loved our stay here. And free wifi that actully works really good.

The downfalls are - far from the town centre, courtesy bus only runs from the hostel to bus station, the town a further 20min walk. Staff are rude, not helpful in anyway. The woman who picked is up looked as if she hated to work there with a not a hello or a smile when greeting us at the bus....

This hostel is really well set up with bedrooms off communal areas that have a kitchen and bathroom so facilities are really easy and convenient to use. The beds are so comfy! It's got a really relaxed feel to it and there are loads of hammocks and decks and there was incense burning when we were there which was very...

Dolphins is tucked away from all the hassle of hastings street/ junction up the road near Sunshine beach. I stayed three days and had a super relaxing time. It's only 5mins to beautiful sunshine beach from which you can go up to the national park. You only have small (4/5 bed) dorms seperated into units, two dorms sharing a spacious...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Chill out and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Dolphins Beach House at beautiful Sunshine Beach, Noosa. This secluded, hippy-style haven is the closest hostel to the beach in Noosa, situated next to Noosa National Park with a boutique shopping village just one minute away. The ambience of this family-run hostel is quirky and unique - definitely not part of a franchise backpackers business. The owners are experienced travelers themselves, and Dolphins Beach House reflects their love of travel, with many exotic artifacts from India to Burma and Thailand. Once you slip past the gardens, the trees, the funky pink walls and the Guatemalan architecture, you'll realize that you have found a restful retreat. It's no wonder that Dolphins Beach House is Lonely Planet's best pick for Noosa for 2010 / 2011. Relax, unwind, enjoy. Our friendly staff are always happy to recommend where to go and what to see next. Office hours are 8:00 am to 7:00 pm ... more   less
