What a great place to rest up after visiting the area for business. Maxine is very hospitable and the rooms are very clean and self sufficient. A great communal area that offers comfort and everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Couldn't have felt more comfortable and a super breakfast . Thanks Maxine

My wife and I spent last evening, 24 May 16, at Sounds of the Sea B&B and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner, Maxine, goes the extra mile to ensure that her guests are comfortable; my wife liked her so much that she commented that she wished she could take Maxine home with her. The B&B has two bedrooms each with...

Clean and comfortable, quaint and cosy. Very friendly host that takes an interest in her guests and goes to great effort to make them feel at home. It wasn't really obvious at first that we may have had to share with other guests, however, we were lucky to have the place to ourselves.

Sounds of Sea felt more like a "family" stay than a B & B with only 2 rooms w/private baths that opened up to a common but small living/dining area. But it was all so cozy and inviting and Maxine, our hostess, was lovely. She cooked us a wonderful breakfast and choices were offered for us to fill out the...

My partner stayed for only one night ( wish it could have been longer ) with Maxine on our trip along the Great Ocean Road. Such a delightful B&B, full of charming treasures and very comfortable bedroom and living area. We loved the garden and a very quiet location only a short walk to Port Campbell shops and restaurants. Maxine...

Stayed 1 night whilst driving Great Ocean Road and we couldn't have picked a better place. Good location and distance from Melbourne to stop on first night. Clean, welcoming and a good breakfast. Would recommend to anyone.

Maxine's B&B is very well kept with lovely eclectic furnishings, and extremely comfortable beds, very clean rooms and was nice that both bedrooms have their own ensuite with toilet and shower. There's a beautiful garden and a deck with chairs. My husband and I stayed with our parents, and Max built a fire for our arrival, so everything was warm...

We took our English visitors for a trip along the Great Ocean Road ending up at Sounds of the Sea B & B in Port Campbell. A very warm welcome from Louise and the most interesting B & B we've every stayed in. Louise has a marvellous collection of antiques and a fabulous library. We settled down to an around...

A real hidden treasure. Just off GOR. Comfortable bed in quite neighborhood. Serenity by the fire stove or TV while on the Grand Pubs couch. All at a fair price. I almost forgot the fresh cooked breakfast. Try Max's specials eggs.

Hubbie found Sounds of the Sea B&B on Trip Advisor and rang Max, the proprietor, because she doesn't have a website or email. She was out of town but coming back the following day and was happy to take a booking for one night. The day we arrived was the day after a terrific storm and Port Campbell was still...
