We decided to have a weekend away in Lorne and chose to stay the the Grand Pacific Hotel. We were greeted by very friendly staff in both Reception and the Bar as well as at breakfast the next morning. Our room was very comfortable and clean and had a beautiful balcony where we would sit and watch the world go...

This hotel needs a lot of money spending on it. The outside needs a paint. The modern light fittings didn't suite the period. Only one bedside table & long life milk let it down. The staff were friendly. I'd probably stay again.

Hello NOITALLNELL, Thank you for you review, We are currently going through a progressive upgrade to all of our hotel rooms, keeping with the hotels period of 1875, with minor modern twists. We are Happy to hear that our service was again friendly and prompt, and hope to see you again soon.

We came to Lorne for a wedding and chose to stay at the Grand Pacific. We were greeted by friendly staff and clean rooms. Whilst everything about the accommodation was fantastic, the dining room meals were not enjoyable and extremely over-priced. Our buffet breakfast was a joke only offering scrambled eggs (that were luke-warm) and unfortunately the flies covered the...

Hello Phill D, Thank you for your recent review, We appreciate you choosing us for your accommodation needs while attending a wedding in Lorne. Its disappointing to hear that our Breakfast offerings were not to your needs, and that you were not aware of our great Happy hour times and prices. We do offer 3 types of eggs ( poached...

We recently visited the Grand Pacific for a thoroughly enjoyable weekend away. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The king room, with spa, was spacious, immaculate, cosy, with the most spectacular view. We looked out over the town, the pier, the Airey's Inlet lighthouse and that great ocean, which lulled us to sleep at night. This beauty of a pub,...

What a great two-night stay we enjoyed at this location! The location was perfect for launching into all the sights of the Great Ocean Road. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and could not do enough to help us. The old hotel has lots of character and the views are spectacular. The restaurant offered great dinner choices and views,...

We had one night here at the end of our Great Ocean Road trip. Fantastic friendly welcome and a beautiful historic building. We had a superior ocean view room. We were expecting doors out to the balcony, but this was not to be. However, we had access to the balcony through a door near our room. This is obviously how...

We were warmly received. It was a short stay though. We love the look of the hotel. We had a very good view of the ocean from the shared balcony. Such a spacious balcony it was. Our room came with a very large bathroom. We had a generous supply of coffee and tea, and milk too.

Nice room, but our 3 windows looked out onto the space between the original & new parts of the hotel - lights on all night, but no blackout curtains. The blinds provided don't quite cut it! Floor boards creaked badly - another casualty of the age of the building. Terrific position - right on the point & great sitting on...

hello Glenda L, Thank you for your review, Its disappointing to here that you felt the room was "too Pricey". We stayed here for a night while travelling the Great Ocean Road. On check in we were put into a "windowless" room( it had some small skylights). I wasn't aware this was a type of room included in the standard room booking, and when I explained to the guy at reception that I was not comfortable in such a room...
