We had a wonderful weekend in a King Room. Fantastic view over Lorne and beyond especially with the sun rising. Room was spacious. Hotel was great, food was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Three of us went for dinner after a run. (Great Ocean Road Running Festival) The steak was delicious. The dessert was wicked :) A nice selection of drinks was available. The staff were friendly. As a traveler from the tropics, getting to sit beside the heater was lovely.

This is out second stay at Grand Pacific Hotel (our previous stay was in the apartments) and this time it was in Pacific King Room. The immediate differences noticed is that the parking is in front of the hotel (rather than under cover behind the hotel) and the rooms are directly about the reception and dining room on the upper...

Today, having a day off mid-week we decided to take a leisurely drive down the coast to Lorne! After stopping at the Grand Pacific we sat at a window table, enjoyed the beautiful view, a very pleasant lunch and a cheeky merlot! Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

Great food, cosy outlook on a chilly day with terrific entertaining management and staff. When visiting with International or Interstate guests, the Grand Pacific Hotel never lets us down. Well done team.

My husband and I went to the Pacific on a Saturday night for dinner. The place has really nice views of the pier and water, inside is clean and tidy. The staff were really attentive and genuinely friendly. I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband a steak. My pasta was delicious and I could not fault it. To finish...

Hubby and I just spent 2 nights here. We had a Luxury Escapes voucher, and assumed as we were on a 'discounted' stay, that we'd probably get 'discounted' facilities/service. Wrong! We loved everything about GPH. From the beautiful old building (yes, floors sometimes squeak...it WAS built over 150 years ago!) To the views and great food, everything was wonderful. We...

Went there using our Luxury escape voucher. We had a great time. The hotel has its old charm and character. We loved sitting outside on the balcony looking out into the sea. The staff were very friendly too. Diane made a point to remember my name and greeted us every time she saw us. Eventhough the balcony is a shared...

We stopped in Lorne for lunch as we drove the Great Ocean Road. The Grand Pacific hotel was built in1875 and has been well maintained. We lunched in the bistro there and had a great meal. You should try the date pudding, a specialty there, for a real treat. The chef, Stefan, came out to great us and was as...

We stayed 2 nights in a King Room, with a great view over the pier and bay. If you live in a full floor modern penthouse, this may not be your cup of tea, but for us it was a great couple of days. The hotel in places is showing her age, but she is a grand old lady, not...
