Lorne is an absolute gem...we loved it ! Small town feel clean and a read community going good on around the tourism. Tons of surfers loads of walks. Hotel had many many good points: fab pool, great helpful staff, wonderful breakfast and restaurant. The negatives: we stayed in a heritage room which was a bit faded glory..if through budget can...

Couldn't get a booking for our original choice so it was the mantra. Had no idea really what to expect but was certainly not disappointed . Turned out this was a much better hotel than our first choice. So glad we got in there. The room was lovely. So close to the sea we could hear the waves crashing. So...

We stayed for one night in a heritage room 402 . The room was at the top of the stairs and very noisy till midnight . There was also a portable air con with a large hose in the room at the side of the bed which I kept walking into and the window did not shut properly due the...

Ocean view room was more like a tennis court view room (which was well lit until 10pm - great if you want to play, not so great if your 'ocean room' view looks directly on it). Rooms all very exposed - not much privacy. Breakfast average. Pool dirty. Security door broken, sofa bed broken. Wouldn't stay again.

$359 for a room that overlooked a car park and caravan park was a little pricey, but the room was clean and comfortable. Good location to everything in Lorne and the restaurant - The Larder was a lovely meal. Staff were attentive and friendly

What an great place to travel for a romantic getaway. Staff were lovely location was even better. Not even a 200m walk to beach main shops and attractions. Highly recommended to any couples wanting a cute getaway.

Location and service excellent. The level of cleanliness of the room not up to standard. Bathroom is in need of a renovation and beds getting too soft and old. Beautiful views interrupted by the streaky dirty windows was annoying

Great location, but otherwise overrated and overpriced. Rooms are OK, access to rooms is terrible (those card readers need an upgrade, it's 2017!) and breakfast must be the worst experience ever. There does not seem to be enough stuff to deal with the number of people and there is a shortage of food, coffee and even cutlery. Maybe they can...

A couple of things I would expect from that price range would be air con or a bedroom fan. Difficult to get a good nights sleep because you could hear everything through the old windows & creaky floors in the corridor. However the location is perfect, really clean & huge beds. I loved the lap pool!
