Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Glen Isla House. Ian and Madeline were very welcoming and provided excellent information about Phillip Island. The rooms are decorated beautifully and very comfortable. The very short walk to the beach was a great bonus!

Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your stay with us here at Glen Isla... We certainly appreciate your compliments on our classic rooms and decor! The brief to our interior designer when we purpose-built these guest rooms was focused around classic, elegant and functional design and offering comfort for discerning travellers (we think he got it...

Hands down, the best B&B around. From the friendly and informative service to the choice of a cotton or linen pillow cover, Madeleine and Ian had everything covered. Their extensive knowledge of Philip Island, amongst other interests, really made our stay that little bit more special. We will be back and will recommend this B&B highly to friends and family!

Thanks indeed Damien for your kind words, and taking the time to write a review on your experience at Glen Isla. The Heritage Suite is our most popular accommodation offering, possibly because of its historic significance, possibly because is offers total privacy, with its own terrace, and possibly because its somewhat unique in terms of accommodations on Phillip Island! Glad...

We agree with every wonderful thing said by all those before us. One small note for improvement to be dispensed with at the outset, hot water was not as consistent as desired. Beyond that, it was as if I was transported in time to a delightful stay with a favorite, well-to-do aunt. A true get-away in relaxed, but elegant, surroundings...

Thanks for your 'stellar' review...! Some wonderful superlatives in your prose certainly inspire us to continue to offer our 'Glen Isla' flavour of hospitality, which as you experienced is more than just a room and breakfast! A a result of working with a select group of European and US travel companies focused on discerning travellers, and maintaining a high profile...

Sincere thanks to Ian and Margaret for a memorable experience. I booked the heritage suite, a gorgeous room dating back to 1870 as I read in the Hotel Guide. it was obvious that the building and heritage gardens had been lovingly restored. The considerate choice of antique furniture and decor matched the property beautifully, which can only be achieved by...

Thanks indeed for your very comprehensive review and thoughts on Glen Isla... Indeed the heritage property has been part of our family for 30+ years, and were proud to have had the opportunity to transform it into elegant country-house accommodations, and to be able welcome guests to both purpose-designed guest accommodations and the authentic historic suite which you enjoyed so...

Ian and Madeline made our short break in Cowes on Phillip Island for my wife's birthday a lovely time. The gardens, accommodation and ambience all make for a perfect time. The room we stayed in was equipped with all the details that you could possibly require for a short break and the breakfast experience was a perfect end to the...

Thanks Neil for your great review of our property and hospitality... So glad we were able to make your wife's birthday special. We certainly appreciate your compliments on our classic rooms, which have in fact been purpose-architected from the outset as guest accommodations to offer complete privacy and all the amenities we would expect when we're travelling, including the walk-in...

We have just finished driving the amazing Great Ocean Road. The scenery is spectacular but the accommodation options are limited. The Cape Nelson Lighthouse is great. But nothing else is remotely close, until we arrived here - Glen Isla House on Phillip Island. It is not only the best accommodation on the island but the best between Cape Nelson, SA...

Sincere heartfelt thanks for your compliments and kind words. Coming from a Top Contributor with 120+ reviews in 61 cities this means so much to us. In fact one of our motivations for creating Glen Isla House as a 'ground-up' project in 2002 was the view that there is a lot of mediocre accommodation here in Australia (of course there...

Thanks for your review and kind words... Over the years, when we've travelled, its the local knowledge and friendly advice that has often meant a memorable visit to a particular location, so its 'part of the service' here at Glen Isla... It seems this last New Year's Eve was one of the quietest we can remember (perhaps apart from some...
