I have been to Katoomba several times before by car but wanted to prove to myself that a car is not needed. The plan was to travel Sunday 18th December To Katoomba from Central by train for a 4 day/3 night trip. With the main purpose being Christmas dinner at the Hydro Majestic at Medlow Bath on Sunday the 18th....

Staff were really helpful - i managed to twist my ankle walking and they got me a bucket full of ice water for the room. Also allowed us to leave luggage for a few hours while we were already checked out. Room was really clean and spacious and the air con worked wonders! Location is central in the town, and...

It's right outside the rail station, and it is near the road that leads straight down to echo point and scenic world. So it's really convenient. However, the room was too hot in the summer. It was well prepared for the cold with its electric blankets, but there were only fans to keep you cool during summer :(

Quaint hotel. Reception staff was friendly. Room was simple and clean. Good comfy bed. Limited on site car parking which cant be pre booked. Only comment - if you a large person the bathroom may be an issue. Very small (approx 1 metre wide) bathroom with toilet.

Friendly staff, comfortable, very clean room opposite the park. All meals very good but Christmas lunch was just excellent. Enjoyed the live music on Christmas day and boxing day and will certainly be back.

I stayed here for 2 nights mid-week. Great location, right across the street from the train station and a 30 minute walk to the 3 sisters & echo point. The hotel is in a very old building, so it's a little quirky. I had a look at the shared lounges & library - they're lovely but I didn't see anyone...

The location is perfect, super close to the station and town center. It is only a 20 minute walk to the Echo Point and the Three Sisters. The reception was helpful but could be a little more friendly. Check-in is only to 6pm, after that everything is closed. Wifi password changes everyday, so you have to get it in the...

Comfortable room and modern amenities, but what is making this guesthouse out of the ordinary are the common spaces available to all guests, kept in a pristine early 1900 setting. It gives this guesthouse a lot of character

We were lucky to have got a room at this hotel at the last minute. Wonderful room, wonderful facilities and also just across the road from the train station. The hotel is also very reasonably priced. Had a fantastic stay and would definitely visit again

This hotel is full of charm and brilliantly located. We had the best time ever there, and I will definitely be going back again. Love it!!! The shops and restaurants and music venues are minutes walk away, but you also get great view and a delightful park directly opposite.
