Old style charm very much in keeping with the early 20th century charm of Katoomba. Excellent restaurant, old-style but comfortably updated rooms, and public areas that take you back to more genteel times. Excellent historical photographic collection that is worth a visit in it's own right if you are interested in the area's past. Comfortable / stylish lounge areas (yes,...

Dear SydneyJohn_D Thank you for staying with us. We are delighted you enjoyed the history and ambience of our 108 year old mountain retreat. Yes, sometimes when no-one is around, we will close the bar, but generally we will stay open if the demand is there. We do supply free wifi, and not just for the first day, but for...

The views from this hotel are amazing!! Although a little walk from the katoomba high street and shops it is still definitely worth it. The rooms are clean and well presented and the food is very nice.

Dear maxinew29 Thank you for your review. It is pleasing to hear you like our wonderful views, and the food in our Jamison Views Restaurant. We are located a short walk from Katoomba, and as you say, the stroll into town is worth it for the shopping and dining options. Once again, thank you for providing your feedback. Regards Eric...

Great location, close to shops and has great views from the restaurant. Service was exceptional and the food was good. Good size room, but the bathroom was a little small tho. I would stay here again.

Great stay with young kids...the place can definitely do with a spruce up, but if you focus on the fact that the basics are all there then it's great. The common areas are very comfy and with stunning views. We had dinner one night and were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the food (compared to the breakfast which is...

Dear Criste S Thank you for your review. Glad to hear you enjoyed dinner in our restaurant and found the lounges comfy, and the views stunning. In terms of a spruce up, our maintenance program is continuous, particularly so with a building that has been around for 108 years. We trust that when next you return, you will notice this...

Excellent position with good views of the valley (if you select the view rooms), easy walking distance to restaurants in Katoomba, receptionist (Inger ?) and dining room staff were most helpful. A good place in faded grandeur location to go, especially mid-week.

Lovely hotel in which to relax from the hustle and bustle of life. Located close to everything in Katoomba, yet just far away enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Staff very helpful, rooms I found to be well maintained. All in all a very pleasant stay.

My husband & I stayed for two nights (Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday) so we could attend two family events over the long weekend. Negatives: The kingsize bed is actually two single beds pushed together. My husband didn't sleep much because the mattress was hard but I was fine. Dining at the onsite restaurant was expensive though ($150AUD for garlic...

No lift and very steep stairs made staying at this hotel very difficult for anyone on a walking stick & impossible if you are wheelchair bound. Dear Gayle C Thank you for choosing us for your groups dinner in our Jamison Views Restaurant, and for staying with us.
