The Carrington is warm and welcoming. It's slightly faded charm is seductive and embraces you like a warm blanket. We enjoyed our stay and though the lift is old school and slow it sort of goes with the place. My only criticism would be their woeful internet coverage. In this day and age you shouldn't need to stand on one...

Having stayed here in the past we decided to have a couple of days break from Sydney and were very pleased to see this wonderful hotel continues the high standards for which they are famed. From our initial phone booking, every staff member we encountered during our stay were friendly and welcoming, obviously proud of their product and rightly so!...

The Carrington hotel was a lot bigger than what I thought. It occupies the whole block, and looks as grand as it was when it was built in honour of the NSW Govenor Lord Carrington. The hotel has kept it's old world style, transporting guests back to a time of glamour. The room I stayed in had a shared bathroom....

Carrington Cellars and Deli is a GREAT find. Amazingly well stocked bottle shop with great choices of local and wines from all over the world PLUS cheeses, meats, pickles, olives and sweets - everything you need for a nice picnic. The staff really knows their products and are helpful in selections.

Decided to stay one night on the way to Mudgee and booked a room with no ensuite. The room (39)was lovely and luckily right next to the bathrooms, which was good but unfortunately there was a noisy extractor fan outside of the window. Which we could still hear after buying earplugs! The room also wasn't air-conditioned, so became very hot...

Wonderfully warm Hotel with great atmosphere. Staff all 100% appointments all beautiful in a wonderful town. Close to all of Katoomba's attractions. Reception staff delightful. However, I think we bumped into a man who might have been the maintenance man? He spoilt our stay in this lovely lodgings. He was definitely inebriated. (You could smell him a mile away!) He...

What a lovely old hotel. Comfortable clean rooms, the large downstairs lounge with fires burning, the library, the lovely dinning room and relaxing bar gave a much needed feeling of calm on a busy Saturday in Katoomba when I had not booked ahead of our stay. Thanks to the Reception Staff - Karl the On Duty Manager and Katie - for...

The place is really very nice and beautiful. Old hotel with lots of history that you can feel in every room. You feel like you step into the 19th century. Only negative part: it was a cold day in the Blue Mountains and especially the bathroom had no heater. It was tremendously cold in that room.

Visited the hotel for a final dinner in Katoomba. Apparently the restaurant is closed on Monday and a restaurant in the Main Street was suggested. Really in a 4-5 star hotel. Yes we were disappointed!
