The Motel is completely different from the photos. The room was small but clean. Paper thin walls and the shower nozzle fell off half way through my wash. Needs a major revamp. Great proximity to centre of town though. Would I stay there again ... not sure.

Excellent location. Rooms old, but clean. We enjoyed staying at this hotel, staff friendly, basic breakfast included. Vastly different to website photos, but we didn't mind. You get what you pay for, if you want 5 stars go elsewhere.

We stayed with another couple during the Elvis Festival in Katoomba. The Clarendon was perfect because it is right next to the RSL and the town centre, where there is a great little Irish pub called the Harp & Fiddle. The rooms are clean and are equipped with towels, soap & tea/coffee facilities, fridge etc. This place is perfect just...

This was really a nightmare. Middle of winter and the rooms windows were all open. Not that it mattered as the gap in the doors and windows let's all the cold in anyway. The A/C heater really struggled - no warmth was added really but it did make awesome sounds - all night. Extra blankets were found in a cupboard...

We checked in at $240 for two nights, this was not the cheapest hotel around but we thought we'd give it a shot. It started well, our room looked like it was out of a horror film based in the 1920s, we took a creepy photo whilst hiding behind the bed and laughed about the decorations. To it's credit the...

Accommodation in the Blue Mountains was booked out, so we opted for a night at the Clarendon. Rooms were very basic, but clean. There were warnings about steam from the shower and the capacity to set of fire alarm which would incur a hefty fine for the customer. I imagine the room would be tolerable if one was also attending...

We were a bit late in booking so paid way too much for our room but that aside, if things were comfortable I wouldn't have minded too much. Our bed was so creaky and loud that just the smallest of moves sounded like someone was jumping on the bed. We were told the room was "usually just used for staff",...

Just arrived home from a three day stay at the Clarendon. We were given (as booked) a 6 bed family room in the guesthouse. I'm not sure how this part of the accommodation remotely qualifies for the given rating. The room was very old, with tired and dated furniture, freezing bathroom, and carpet in dire need of replacement. We aired...

An old guesthouse but comfortable enough and reasonably well priced. Lots of character that comes with an older building. Was in a very convenient location- just around the corner from the Main Street, we left the car there for the weekend and walked everywhere enjoying a beautiful winter weekend.

We stayed in the motel section as we requested a quiet room with ensuite. It was a smallish, dark room with a tasteless glittery bedspread, erk!. It was clean enough and there was heating and a TV. There is inadequate parking -even on check in we couldnt park in front of our room, and by the evening had to park...
