The room was lovely, clean, fresh and with lots of little treats. The breakfast was superb, excellent choice, delivered to my room, but can be on the veranda when weather is warm. In addition, there was fruit and homemade cake available throughout my 5 night stay. The owner (Sue) was very friendly. She even loaned me a wrap, and offered...

Thank you Claire for choosing Melba House for your Blue Mountains accommodation for your craft course. It was delightful having you stay for five nights and seeing all the printing and leather craft you made. You definitely have a talent! I'm pleased you appreciated everything I could do for you and make your stay a memorable one. Look forward to...

Stayed for two nights on the "Indulgence" package. Sue was a lovely host, breakfasts were scrumptious, trimmings in the room very nice and the massages were enjoyable so all round very good. Dinner package was ok, but could possibly just make own arrangements.

Thanks Gordon and Cheryl for taking time to review your Indulgence Weekend at Melba House. It seems your weekend was enjoyable and relaxing but the French Restaurant was not to your liking. This beautiful old home is tucked away on a quiet neighborhood street. Our suite was huge and stunning. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the linens of high quality and the breakfast served in our room was delicious. The location is convenient to the Blue Mt. sights and within walking distance of central Tanunda. The only con was the bathing situation....

Thanks Pamela for your review. I am pleased that your stay overall was a good one and have noted your disappointment with the bath. As this house is 112yrs old the shower taps are a "vintage' look to go with the decor and house age, but are functional. I'm sorry you had problems getting in and out of the spa...

Melba House is perfectly located in Katoomba; close to the main shopping district but just far enough away from the busyness of it all. We stayed in the Nellie room which is the largest. The decor creates a romantic relaxing atmosphere. Would have loved to had a fire but it wasn't quite winter, though the weather was wintry (there is...

Hi Liz , Thanks for your review. So pleased you enjoyed your getaway in Dame Nellie Suite. Maybe you can come back in winter to enjoy the fire maybe even enjoy if we have a snow fall ! Nothing like snuggling by a fire on those nights! Kind regards Sue

We stayed two nights at this No1 TripAdvisor b&b on our one month stay in NSW. The weather was not good when we visited as it was mainly rain and mist. Upon arrival, we noticed that the two entrances to Melba House were gravel paths and as we had two very heavy suitcases it meant lugging them over the paths...

Thanks for your review Peter and Maureen. I would like to respond to your concerns as it seems your choosing Melba House may not suited your needs. Yes we have pebble pathway with stepping stones, however it is only 15 mtrs from the front gate and pebbles are very common in the Mountains due to our climate. You would even find...

Beautifully decorated rooms only one block away from the shops, cafes and restaurants in the main Street of Katoomba. Clean, large, beuatifully decorated room with small dining table where you can eat your breakfast each morning. Quiet, private and an easy walk into town. Sue (and Issy) are both lovely providing friendly service and a well cooked and presented hot...

Thanks for your review. Yes I do cater for all dietary requirements and understand how important it is for a Coeliac, that there is no cross contamination of any wheat products. Most of our restaurants are very obliging to cater for varied dietary need in Katoomba. I'm pleased your Blue Mountain escape refreshed you and you enjoyed our town. Kind regards...

We stayed at Melba's for my birthday weekend, without the kids, combined with a visit to the Blue Mountains Music Festival. We were not disappointed! Sue is truly the most wonderful hostess. Absolutely nothing is a problem. She is a wealth of knowledge on the local area and thoughtful in every aspect of taking care of her guests. The breakfast...

This B & B changed our whole view of this form of accommodation. Our stay was wonderful.
