We choose Coogee as the accommodation location for a boy's weekend and were not disappointed. The Crown Plaza placed us right in the middle of this beautiful seaside location. Rooms were modern, staff were courteous, polite and unobtrusive as usual for this Hotel Group. If you want to visit Sydney and prefer a more relaxed location than the CBD, this...

I always look for great service, wonderful views, great price and above all.. A comfortable sleep!!! Well the crown at Coogee delivered! I can recommend upgrading to a view, that made my trip so worth it! And the staff couldn't do enough for me. All the shops were close by, giving the location a small beachside town feel, in the...

Great location for a hotel. By the beach in Sydney, not too far from the airport. Rooms were comfortable, nicely appointed. Service was good. We used a conference room which was well set up and comfortable (one chair had a wheel falling off). Breakfast ok without being spectacular.

Beautiful hotel. I've always had good service here. Did the cliff walk from Lurline Bay to Waverly cemetery. Had a beer at the Clovelly Bowling Club and lunch in the park. Even though it's the middle of winter, the sun was out and it was a mild 18 deg. Great weekend.

Stayed two nights and had a 5th floor room overlooking the pool and beach. Room well furnished, bed comfortable, bathroom clean and overall well-presented. The a/c was not particularly effective and the doona too heavy for comfortable sleep - a common problem. The room was pleasantly quiet. This is essentially a 1990s-era business hotel which is looking a bit tired...

We stayed there 2 weeks ago and as a Ambassador Platinum member I thought I would have been given an upgrade, but it did not happen. The hotel to did not look like it was booked out. I was very dissapointed with breakfast, not much for vegetarians. To me it look like the was a lot of nothing. The staff...

I loved sitting on the balcony watching the ocean (with the occasional long distant glimpse of whales). Try to get a room on floor 5 or above. The room was in mostly reasonably condition, bed comfortable, room quiet. Not a big fan of the shower over a bath with fabric curtain (hint - can lead to mould in the grout)....

A great location but some rooms look onto car parks rather than the glistening water-so maybe worth asking on checkin. But otherwise the hotel was well staffed and very pleasant.Perhaps some of the conference facilitiesa are getting a bit tired.Overall though very pleasant

Stayed at Crowne Plaza Coogee for a work conference last year. The rooms are fine, typical big hotel, but clean and no complaints there. However a note to anyone with dietary concerns- you will NOT be looked after here. Staying in Coogee

Neighbourhood Profile
Coogee
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
