A real bonus when the weather is not kind. On arrival the 'Boss' at reception was dealing with a difficult customer on the phone and was still a bit gruff when I booked in; and pretty much each time I spoke with him. The restaurant was closed for the couple of nights we were there (a holiday weekend) though pizzas...

Stayed here as part of a tour group for one night. Room was clean but looked very dated. The bed was very uncomfortable and in desperate need of a new mattress, having a shower was also a lucky dip as water either suddenly went cold or pressure dropped completely. As commented by other guests meal times were very regimented. Although...

A warm welcome, friendly staff and Host. Clean comfortable accommodation in a picturesque setting. Lovely gardens and creek. Buffet meal was generous and inviting. Sweets were delish and in abundance. Once again staff and Host were welcoming and chatty. Would like to revisit.

We arrived in Queenstown in a downpour at about 6pm. My wife was greeted by the Boss at reception with, " Shut the door, you have just let a big fly in. The buffet dinner finishes at 7.30pm." Little time for a shower and drink to relax before dinner. Not the best start in the fading light of the wilderness...

Reasonable for a night stop over, but would recommend staying somewhere else, like another town. Rooms have a shoe box design, and really show their age. Now the town is very interesting to visit and pass through, it has some great mining exhibits that attest to its heritage.

They do not seem to be flexible with their check in times as the guy at the front desk was not happy when we checked in late although we rang to advise them that we would be late. Then when we forgot to ask about internet access at check in, we rang and he then told us that we had...

We decided to spend a night in Queenstown on the next leg of our trip heading to Launceston. The motel wasn't the best we have ever stayed at but it was comfortable enough, close to the centre of town and wasn't expensive. Would we stary there again? Probably not but then nowhere else that we saw in Queenstown looked much...

The room had a good feel to it and was clean but the beds where way too soft and not comfy. We where surprised to be told that the kitchen had closed at 7:30 and when we went back the next night for the smorgasbord there wasn't much of a selection and were hurried up and felt like we were...

Could not believe the reception we had here. It was as though the manager had opened up to do us a favour. Dinner was at this time - no discussion. The bar closes at 8.30 - no discussion - even if there are a dozen guests wanting to stay up past 8.30 to have a drink. The rooms were basic...

We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful guy who did all he could to assist. We arrived on a Sunday night and the Monday was a public holiday, so there was very little open in Queenstown including their restaurant. He did give us directions to the only place in town that was open for dinner and also advised...
