Stopped in for lunch on our way to Strahan. Fantastic pub style food, good and hearty. Best lamb shanks I've had in a long time. There is a lot of history in this place and its worth wandering around to look at the pictures. Staff are friendly and service is quick.

Was recommended for dinner and didn't disappoint. Remember dinner finishes 8pm even in summer.

Enjoyed dinner in the dining room - high ceilings & dripping in history. Dinner is traditional & you order from the bar. Not a huge menu but enough choice.

Had a garlic & bacon bread

Wonderful old pub, great food and service, also ambiance by the bucket load. A wonderful way to spend a rainy Friday Evening. Also enjoyed the history portrayed in photos and paintings . The fire was on as well so it was super cosy.

We booked with a nostalgic sense having stayed here in the late 1970’s. Externally she is currently being repainted and internally our double room was clean, recently updated en suite but in a very high ceiling original room. The view out the window was straight into another room

We stayed here so that we could go kayaking.
However we really enjoyed this hotel, it is very quaint, with a tea room.
The staff are lovely.
We also tried the food and this was great too!
Well worth a visit!

I would need 2 rooms but it needs to have a connecting door in between because one of the party's snore's very bad and I can't see with the photos here.
You may be out of luck with the connecting rooms. Best to check with the hotel directly
