Guesthouse sijaitsee remontoidun joen ja puistoalueen laidalla. Paikan ravintola ok. Äänet eivät kantautuneet majoituksen aikana huone tiloihin. Hyvin pelkistetty huone. Ajaa toki asiansa nukkumisen suhteen muttei mitenkään erityisen viihtyisä kuten kuvista on pääteltävissä.

Ligger vackert mitt i fina Pöltsamaa.

Staying in this place is affordable, and rooms and service is good. Our concern was local youth loudly partying under our windows, but fortunately they disappeared before midnight (I assume that in summer it might be worse). In guest house they have hot and cold water and fridge for guests, also wireless internet. Cafe downstairs has quite large choice of dishes; breakfast is included in price and is scrambled eggs with meat, coffee, juice, some yoghurt and choice of bread and cheese, vegetables etc. usual breakfast staff, all-in-all satisfying.

Our stay at the Rivaal was great! We didn't book the room and arrived quite late at night on our bikes and were happily welcomed to stay there. The girl at desk was kind to offer us a room inside to store our bikes and went upstairs with us to show off the room and make sure everything's fine. The rooms in the guesthouse are located on the second floor of the building, first floor is all restaurant/breakfast aria/cafe/big hall. Our room was a spacious, low rooftop room with a lovely view to the river. As the room is located right below the roof the temperature might get quite high during the hottest days of summer, but a small wind from the river helps to fall asleep if needed. We had our window open all night long as the window was protected with a net to avoid the mosquitoes getting inside later at night. Our room also included a small tv and a good wifi, which was great for us. The bathroom was exceptionally good and very clear. It had a good shower, perfect isolation and also some basic soap and shampoo available. The towels were white and clean. The location of the place is good and close to the city center and the shops. Also the castle is in a walking distance from the guesthouse and the river with it's beautiful park full of roses has something to look at. Among the very best things during our short stay was a surprisingly good breakfast. Although it was served to the table it had plenty to choose from including some traditional Estonian foods and the usual eggs with bacon and salad. Also as we were extremely tired travelers the great view to the city and the river was well appreciated and the fireworks that were shot at the night of our stay made us feel special and satisfied with the day.
